The wholesome yet hilarious TV show is almost back. And thanks to the recent Ted Lasso season 4 release update, fans are getting ready to jump back into the Emmy-winning sports comedy.

Ever since Ted Lasso season 4 was confirmed, fans have been giddy to learn more about the upcoming season. And just recently, Channing Dungey, the Warner Bros. Television Group, and current US Networks Chairman and CEO for the company, gave an update on the release date for season 4.
During an interview, Dungey said the show could potentially debut on Apple TV+ in mid-2026. “Can you believe we are back in production?” Dungey asked during the interview. “This was one of those ones where I was like, ‘I don’t know if we’re going to get there,’ but we are here now. I’m really excited about the new cast.”
Dungey disclosed that while they didn’t have a firm date yet for Apple, they were talking about mid-year next year. “So your guess is as good as mine as to what that actually means. But I would say sometime from Q2 forward.”
Several cast members are making a comeback for the show. Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brendan Hunt, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift are set to reprise their roles as Rebecca Welton, Keeley Jones, Coach Beard, Roy Kent, and Leslie Higgins. They’ll join star and co-creator Jason Sudeikis, who plays Ted, in season four.
But of course, with this season featuring a women’s team, there will be new faces to join the crew as well. Grant Feely (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Five Nights at Freddy’s and Creepshow), Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education and Emma), Jude Mack (Such Brave Girls, Prime Target, and Back in Action), Faye Marsay (Game of Thrones, Andor, and Fresh Meat), Rex Hayes (The Pact and Bregus), Aisling Sharkey (Jurassic World: Dominion, Heirs of the Night, and Cure), and Abbie Hern (My Lady Jane, The Pact, and Enola Holmes 2) are the new players for the women’s soccer team.
