Stacey Dash of Clueless fame launched a desperate attempt to get her acting career back this week by giving an interview in which she walked back her prior support of Donald Trump and condemned Fox News, which she claimed hired her to be the “angry black woman.”
Take a look:
Dash Blasts Fox News
Dash, 54, was hired by Fox as an on-air commentator in 2014. However, the network decided not to renew her contract when it expired in 2017.
In an interview with DailyMailTV, Dash made it clear that there is no love lost between her and Fox these days.
“I’ve lived my life being angry, which is what I was on Fox News,” Dash now says. “I was the angry, conservative, Black woman and at that time in my life, it was who I was. I realized in 2016 that anger is unsustainable and it will destroy you. I made a lot of mistakes because of that anger.”
“I’m not a victim of anyone,” she continues. “Working for Fox at the time, that was my job. I did my job from the place I was at. Stacey now would never work at Fox, would never work for a news network or be a news contributor.”

Dash Walks Back Support For Trump
At another point in the interview, Dash said that the Capitol riots in January made her rethink her politics as well as her previous support for Donald Trump.
“I think the Capitol riots were appalling,” she said. “When that happened I was like, ‘OK, I’m done. I’m truly done.’ Because senseless violence of any kind I denounce. What happened on January 6 was just appalling and stupid.”
“As far as he’s concerned, [Trump] is not the president. We have a new president,” Dash added. “Being a supporter of Trump has put me in some kind of box that I don’t belong in. But he’s not the president. I’m going to give the president that we have right now a chance.”
Dash made it blatantly obvious that this interview was a desperate attempt to get her acting career back. She explained that because of her conservative views she’s “basically blacklisted. Being a black conservative is not easy.”

Dash Apologizes For Saying Controversial Things
During her time at Fox, Dash made headlines for sayings various things that offended liberals.
She said that feminism was ruining men and that Trump was “absolutely right” for saying that there were good people on both sides after the Charlottesville “Unite The Right” rally.
In her new interview, Dash expressed regret for saying these things.
“There are things that I am sorry for. Things that I did say, that I should not have said them the way I said them,” Dash said. “They were very arrogant and prideful and angry. And that’s who Stacey was, but that’s not who Stacey is now. Stacey’s someone who has compassion, empathy.”
“God has forgiven me, how dare I not forgive someone else,” she continued. “I don’t want to be judged, so how dare I judge anyone else. So if anyone has ever felt that way about me, like I’ve judged, that I apologize for because that’s not who I am.”
If Dash thinks that this interview will get her off the Hollywood blacklist, she’s dreaming.
The liberal elites of Hollywood will never forgive her for supporting Trump and working at Fox. And, now conservatives will despise her as well.
In the end, all Dash has ensured is that she’s been blacklisted by both sides, and nobody will have any respect for her.
