Last week Fox News contributor Stacey Dash made liberals’ heads spin with some very controversial comments about the black television station BET. Well, she’s made it clear that she won’t back down…

Following the outrage, Dash doubled down on her opinions in an op-ed. Check out some excerpts below, via BizPacReview:

“Many of your reactions — saying I’ve sold out to white people –… show you aren’t hearing me,” she wrote.

“Black History should be apart of social studies and history curriculum EVERYDAY OF EVERY MONTH OF EVERY YEAR. Not just 28 days out of 365!!!!” she continued.

Dash asked if people really wanted “the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., Frederick Douglass, and even Barack Obama,” to be highlighted only one month out of each year to constitute the extent of their contributions to the black community.

“Our accomplishments cannot be limited to 28 days. Do not listen to liberals who try to limit you, to put you into a box, to tell you that you MUST believe one way or another, that you cannot think for yourselves, and that the government can ‘give’ you a ‘special month,’” she wrote.

“I am an American and I cannot be categorized or limited by anyone else’s definition of me,” she said. “I can tell by the hysterical reactions that it’s not WHITE PEOPLE who are trying to keep black Americans in their place. It’s BLACK people.”

Liberals responded predictably — with outrage. Here are just a few of the angry tweets responding to Dash’s op-ed:

These idiots just don’t get it…

What Dash is arguing is that instead of focusing on blacks’ skin color, we should focus on their accomplishments. Why should skin color be the central focus?
