It’s been a few weeks now since Roseanne Barr’s show was canceled after she posted an offensive tweet about Barack Obama’s former advisor Valerie Jarrett. On Tuesday night, Barr reemerged on Twitter with a post that shows she is still having a difficult time coming to terms with the backlash that has led to nearly all of her friends in Hollywood turning their backs on her.

“I was saddened [and] shocked that [people] who knew me [for] years accused me of being a racist [for] political points,” Barr tweeted, according to Daily Caller. “I oppose corrupt regimes which throw gays off buidlings [and] execute rape victims. I oppose BHO [Barack Obama]-VJ’s [Valerie Jarrett’s] pro #R2P [Responsibility to Protect] [and] their Iran deal.”

“I’ve corrected my mistake-which was to speak against an immoral regime-Iran, which throws gays off buildings [and] executes rape victims, which Valerie Jarrett empowered, in an unclear manner,” she added in a second post. “The jobs of my diverse crew [are] safe now.”

That second tweet indicates that the rumors are true and Barr has indeed agreed to step away from a spinoff of “Roseanne” so that the jobs of her fellow cast and crew could be saved. Though ABC immediately expressed interest in a spinoff after “Roseanne” was canceled, they made it clear that they would not move forward with it unless Barr agreed to not profit from it financially in any way. Barr agreeing to these conditions is a huge sacrifice and shows just what kind of giving person she really is!

What Barr tweeted about Jarrett was certainly wrong, and she has admitted that herself. Since then, she has lost her show, her friends, and millions of dollars. This woman has been through enough, and it’s time for the nation to accept her apology and allow her to move on with her life.
