Liberals Think Princess Anne Snubbed Trump And Melania But Here’s The Real Story

Leftists liberals believe they have found a new champion in Princess Anne after she snubbed President Trump and the First Lady during a reception at Buckingham Palace on the eve of the NATO summit December 3, 2019. Queen Elizabeth was not very happy with her daughter and even appeared to scold Anne’s rudeness.

The Royal Family hosted the event to commemorate 70 years of NATO cooperation. It should have been a cordial event.

Royals are to be gracious and apolitical, but Princess Anne may have broken that rule and her mother was not happy about it.

Princess Anne’s Shrug

The Queen and Prince Charles were in a receiving line to greet the Trumps, but Anne stayed in the doorway where she would not have to shake the President or First Lady’s hands. The Queen, who was 93 years old at the time, appeared to have noticed and gestured at her daughter.

When confronted by the Queen, Anne stood her ground and gave a shrugging motion.

Of course liberal Twitter, including those in the mainstream media, went wild for Anne’s shrug.

“LOVE that Princess Anne flat out refuses to get in receiving line to shake hands w Trump & Melania! She is having none of the proper Royal Family line where they smile & act like Trump is a normal POTUS! Anne is taking a stand & I respect her for it!,” one liberal tweeted.

Royal Expectations

This wasn’t the only Royal behavior that was cheered by the left. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry snubbed President Trump entirely by refusing to attend the reception.

Royal experts cautioned people from reading too much into Princess Anne’s shrug. Royal Reporter Victoria Arbiter tweeted “[Princess Anne] has always been a national treasure, but truth is she was never set to be in the receiving line at last night’s NATO reception. The Queen, Charles and Camilla were the only ones tasked with greeting guests. She’s still cool though!”

Valentine Low with The Times said the same thing as Arbiter in a series of tweets. He stated that Princess Anne was never supposed to be in the receiving line.

The Queen’s glance at her daughter was to inquire if there was anyone else to greet.

A tweet below with an extended video shows Princess Anne walking down the hallway with the Trumps moments before “the snub.”

NATO Leaders Laughing At Trump

But, this wasn’t the only odd situation Princess Anne found herself in.

A hot microphone caught Justin Trudeau, Emmanuel Macron, Boris Johnson laughing about Trump’s earlier press conference. Princess Anne was standing there for that conversation as well.
