Prince Andrew will still get a very special birthday celebration even as the embattled Royal continues to face speculation and backlash about his sexual exploits with Jeffrey Epstein’s human trafficking victims.

Prince Andrew Embroiled In Epstein Scandal

Andrew was afford the dignity of voluntarily stepping down from his official duties as a senior royal after a disastrous BBC interview last year exploring allegations of underage sex and his involvement with Epstein.

One would think the walls would be closing in on Andrew after alleged Epstein madame Ghislaine Maxwell’s arrest. Especially since it is believed that she has actual video footage of the Royal in compromising and illegal situations.

But, instead, Andrew will receive a special honor reserved only for select royals on his upcoming birthday.

Westminister Bells Will Continue To Ring For Prince Andrew

In 2020, the Queen distanced her scandal-plagued son from official duties and celebrations. For his 60th birthday on February 19th earlier this year, even his big bash was scrapped for a private family lunch instead.

The Royal Family deemed it too much of a risk to hold a public celebration given the public outrage following the claims against Andrew.

In fact, government buildings were not even required to fly the Union Jack for Andrew last year.

But still the bells still tolled. It is considered an extreme honor in the UK for the bells to ring in celebration.

Now, the official 2021 bell-ringing schedule of the royal church in London is out. And there is public outcry in response.

Even though the Duke of York is now even in a worse position, the bells at Westminster Abbey will ring out in celebration of his birth in 2021. The royal church’s schedule confirms that Andrew will continue to receive this high honor.

Not Every Royal Gets This Honor

Not everyone in the Royal Family gets this honor.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t even receive it before leaving their duties as senior royals.

Some working royals don’t have the bells rung for them at all.

But, Andrew’s honor will remain even though he is no longer a working royal. This has many people in the United Kingdom upset.

From People:

There are 12 royals whose birthdays are currently marked with bells at Westminster Abbey. Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, their four children — Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward — all receive the honor, as does Charles’ wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. Prince William, Kate Middleton and their three kids — Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis — complete the list.

Aside from Prince Philip (who has retired from public duty) and the Cambridge children, Prince Andrew is the only non-working royal to have his birthday marked with the bells.

Prince Andrew appears to be getting much different treatment than one of the most popular royals of all time.

Princess Diana was stripped of her title following her divorce from Prince Charles. And Andrew’s ex Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson was put through the ringer after scandalous photos her leaked.

Yet the Royal Family continues to find ways to celebrate the Duke of York even amidst escalating claims of his participation in sordid Epstein-arranged activities.

If you ask me, this is not a good look for the Crown.
