Unabashed British television personality Piers Morgan eviscerated Katie Couric on Monday in a brutal column in which he went so far as to suggest that she deserves a “ringside seat” in “hell” for the way she admitted to treating her female colleagues in her new memoir “Going There.”

*NEW COLUMN*
If there's a 'special place in hell for women who don't help other women', mean-girl Katie Couric is going to have a ring-side seat after her women-trashing book reveals her lectures about female equality & bullying to be rank hypocrisy.https://t.co/FMCziTWxeL pic.twitter.com/lA0rVSZjGW— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) October 4, 2021
In a scathing column for Daily Mail, Morgan calls Couric out for her hypocrisy, claiming the former “Today” host went against everything she has long said she stood for when it comes to female empowerment and women in her industry.
With her memoir, Morgan charged that Couric has revealed herself to be a “nasty piece of work who chews up female colleagues and competitors like a hungry hippo gorging on watermelon.”
“Her idea of feminist trailblazing is to bully, intimidate, abuse and damage other women,” he added.
Kate Couric’s Attacks On Women In Her Book
In her new memoir, Katie Couric brags about how she enjoyed getting under the skin of newswoman Diane Sawyer.

She also claims that the “relentless perfectionism” of former “Today” host Deborah Norville was a turn-off for viewers.
Perhaps worst of all, Couric eluded to possibly destroying the career of anchor Ashleigh Banfield, who she quickly identified as a threat to herself.
“For a minute there, Ashleigh Banfield was the next big thing; I’d heard her father was telling anyone who’d listen that she was going to replace me. In that environment, mentorship sometimes felt like self-sabotage,” Couric wrote in the memoir.
Both Norville and Banfield have expressed publicly how hurt they are by Couric’s comments, while Sawyer has yet to comment.
Piers Morgan Exposes ‘Hypocritical’ Katie Couric
“Couric went there alright,” Morgan wrote in his column. “And by doing so, she has showed the world that she’s a vile, horribly hypocritical, vindictive misogynist who bullied women as a coping mechanism.”
Fox News reported that over the summer, Couric attacked Morgan on social media after he criticized Olympic gymnast Simone Biles for pulling out of the Tokyo Olympics. Couric retweeted an image of Morgan, former President Trump, and Charlie Kirk with a caption that read, “Bullying successful women is a coping mechanism for a lot of mediocre men.”
Because of this, Morgan said that he was expecting a “more inspiring proclamations of supportive sisterhood” when he read Couric’s memoir, but imagine my surprise when in fact I found the complete opposite? It turns out that Katie Couric isn’t a pro-women anti-bullying icon at all.”

Piers Morgan Goes In For The Kill
“If there’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women, mean-girl Katie Couric is going to have a ringside seat after her women-trashing book reveals her lectures about female equality and bullying to be the rankest hypocrisy,” he added.
“After ‘Going There’ is published, the Devil may need to reserve a seat for the ghastly author,” Morgan concluded. “Not least because if this stuff is what she’s prepared to openly admit to, the mind boggles as to what else she got up to that she deemed too awful to share.”
Piers Morgan may not be that far off on this one. Once America’s sweetheart, Katie Couric shows a side of herself in her new memoir that is going to be tough for fans to reconcile.
Some might even say she shows herself to be just another hypocritical narcissist in the mainstream media. What do you think?
