TMZ reports that Wahlberg bought the compound for $8.25 million back in 2009, and then spent years making major modifications to the home. The mansion is now 30,500 square feet, and it boasts 12 bedrooms and 20 baths, plus a separate guest house.
Covered in European limestone, the home also has a library/study room, a waterfall pool, a grotto, tennis court, basketball court, a private spa, a 5,000-bottle wine cellar, a fully-equipped gym, and even a movie screening room.
Beverly Park, CA is an exclusive, gated celebrity enclave complete with excellent jetliner and canyon views. It’s located within the city limits of Los Angeles but is part of the Beverly Hills Post Office area.
Architect And Real Estate Agent Speak Out
The San Francisco Gate reported that when he made modifications to the home, Wahlberg brought on architect Richard Landry to help him.
“When he called me, he said, ‘Richard, I’ve been following you for years. I’m so glad now you can do my house,'” Landry recalled in 2015. “What a nice guy. We had so much fun.”

Cara Ameer, an agent with Coldwell Banker licensed in California and Florida, seems confidant that Wahlberg will be able to get the price that he is seeking.
“I do think the property will set a record for Beverly Park when it sells,” she said, adding that Wahlberg has “amassed a tremendous amount of equity over a little more than a decade, especially over the last two years with the rapid acceleration of values during the pandemic real estate boom.”
Ameer went on to say that the fact that owning this property means you’ll never have to leave the grounds will be appealing to people after the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Like many luxury celebrity estates, it is a megacompound designed to be the ultimate hangout, or a secluded retreat when you need it to be,” she added. “It checks all the boxes for the wealthy mogul who wants a self-contained estate.”

Mark Wahlberg Inspired By Sylvester Stallone?
Arvin Haddad, a real estate agent who is also a TikTok star, spoke out to say that Wahlberg may have been motivated to do this by his neighbor Sylvester Stallone, who sold his home in the same gated community to Grammy-winning singer Adele last year for $110 million.
“With that price, I think Wahlberg is testing the market at this point,” said Haddad. “Sometimes great sales in the neighborhood motivate people who are not really sellers to put it out there.”
Haddad then said that while Wahlberg’s estate is lavish, it also “lacks views.”
“What it does have going for it is 30,000 square feet,” he said. “It’s truly a compound. He has all the bells and whistles that some of the [other] properties didn’t have.”
It’s also possible that this move could be part of Wahlberg’s larger retirement plan which he recently teased. The Twitter user below had the same idea.
