President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Monday to ruthlessly mock LeBron James after it was revealed that the ratings for the NBA Finals plummeted 70%. In this year’s abbreviated season, the NBA submitted to the radical left and the Black Lives Matter movement which politicized their games in a way that turned off many fans.

“Maybe they were watching in China, but I doubt it. Zero interest!” Trump said of the ratings dip. He wrote this alongside a photo of James and an article about the ratings decrease.

Trump Has Called Out The NBA Before
This isn’t the first time that Trump has called out the NBA. The Sun reported that last month the president blasted the league and the players for becoming too political.
“People are tired of watching the highly-political NBA,” Trump said. “Basketball ratings are WAY down, and they won’t be coming back. I hope football and baseball are watching and learning because the same thing will be happening to them. Stand tall for our Country and our Flag!”
Trump added last week that this year’s NBA Finals will be the first ones he didn’t watch “in years,” going on to use the hashtag “#GoWokeGoBroke.”
The president was proven right since this year’s NBA Finals were the lowest-rated in history. Only 5.6 million viewers tuned in to watch the Lakers take the title on Sunday, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Game six of last year’s NBA Finals garnered 18.34 million viewers, which means there was a staggering 69.4% drop in viewership.

NBA Submits To Black Lives Matter
In June, the NBA announced that the words “Black Lives Matter” would be painted on the courts for games. Players were also permitted to feature social justice slogans on the back of their jerseys.
Trump spoke out in August to slam NBA players who took a knee during the national anthem before games, saying that he found this to be “disgraceful.”
“When I see them kneeling, I just turn off the game,” Trump said.
LeBron James fired back by claiming that the NBA would not miss Trump as a viewer.
“I really don’t think the basketball community are sad about losing his viewership, him viewing the game,” said James.
While James and the NBA may not miss Trump alone as a viewer, they likely missed the millions of other fans who have turned off their games as well.

The largely peaceful celebration did get out of hand when some individuals threw items including rocks and bottles at police officers. As you can see in the video below, some cars were doing “doughnuts” in the street.
