Kid Rock has been coping with the death of his personal assistant Michael Sacha. Sacha was killed on the star’s Nashville property while riding an ATV.

This hit Kid Rock pretty hard. He said, “a member of our family and one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with.”

Kid Rock has been leaning on his faith during this tough time. The conservative star isn’t afraid to speak his mind on many topics, including his faith. A post on Facebook emphasizes his struggle by using a lyric from his 2001 song “Lonely Road of Faith.”

The song was used in a MTV USO special for troops stationed at Germany’s Ramstein Air Base after 9/11. But, those lyrics are ringing strong with Kid Rock today as he grieves his friend.

Take a listen to the words in the video below.
