“This is the best time of my life,” she said, according to Daily Mail. “I love my career but nothing is more fulfilling to me than being able to build a family with someone I love deeply and who is just as dedicated to family and to each other as we can be.”
Lopez, 52, went on to say that she “loves the idea of the future and what [she and Affleck] can create,” although she added that she “really wants to savor the moment and stay real present in it as much as she can.”

Lopez Talks New Initiative
Later in the interview, Lopez also became emotional while announcing her $14 billion business loan initiative aimed at Latina entrepreneurs. She teamed up with Goldman Sachs and the non-profit organization Grameen America for this initiative, which is set to offer financial assistance to low-income Latina women who are attempting to launch new businesses.
“It’s important to me,” Lopez said of the program as she teared up. “When you get a little bit older, you understand the meaning behind things and you’ve seen enough… you’ve had your own struggle, you’ve seen enough injustices.”
“I just feel like this country needs more love and positivity and people who want to do good things and are not fighting against each other and are just giving each other a hand up. That’s important to me,” she continued. “Honestly I’m hoping to kind of change the fabric of America, especially for Latina women.”
When asked why she believes Latina women are so important to America, Lopez replied, “They’re just tough. They’re made from a certain kind of fabric. They are entrepreneurial, they are inventive, they are creative.”

Lopez And Affleck’s History
Lopez and Affleck began dating back in 2002, and they quickly became tabloid fodder. While they were set to get married in September of 2003,
“Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date,” they said in a statement at the time. “When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations, we realized that something was awry.”
“We began to feel that the spirit of what should have been the happiest day of our lives could be compromised,” they added. “We felt what should have been a joyful and sacred day could be spoiled for us, our families and our friends.”

Each of them went on to marry other people and have children, with Lopez marrying the singer Marc Antony and Affleck marrying the actress Jennifer Garner. Both of these marriages ended in divorce, allowing Lopez and Affleck to reunite again last year. Affleck proposed to Lopez back in April, and fans are eagerly awaiting their wedding, although it is unknown when it will actually take place.
We can only hope that Lopez and Affleck actually walk down the aisle this time and that they have many years of happiness to come!
