14 staggering years later, the hit MTV series canceled after 46 seasons. It’s been a long run, but Ridiculousness is coming to an end.

The show launched in 2011 with Rob Dyrdek as the host, and always featured various co-hosts, including Sterling “Steelo” Brim, Chanel West Coast, and various guests.

While reruns can still be found on MTV’s schedule, along with a handful of seasons on Paramount+, the reliable, consistent, and hilarious show is done producing more seasons. The series focused on sharing comedy clips, with some more extreme than others. The clips can range from happy accidents that focus on pets to extreme stunts that go wrong.

The show consistently brought laughter and joy to so many lives. But unfortunately, a source confirmed for The Post that “No more original episodes of Ridiculousness will be produced.”

“As the company works to reimagine MTV for the future, the channel will feature a more curated slate that embraces its experimental DNA – exploring fresh formats, different creative voices, and refreshed programming,” the source shared.

With more than 1,700 episodes, Ridiculousness was one of MTV’s longest-running shows in the network’s history. While fans can still watch the old episodes throughout the year, it’s still shocking news to hear that a comfort show is no longer continuing.

At the time of publication, MTV has long blocks of Ridiculousness running, with 10- to 11-hour marathons scheduled on the weekends that fans could put on and relax to. It seems that MTV is ever-changing, as they recently ended several of their music channels, which were once what they were known for.

MTV used to be a hub for music videos. However, it eventually transitioned to a network full of reality TV shows like The Osbournes, Punk’d, and Jersey Shore.

Now with shows like Catfish and Ridiculousness are ending, it will be interesting to see if MTV can produce hit shows like these to keep viewers happy, or if they made a mistake to take away one of the longest-running MTV shows ever.
