Country music star Garth Brooks announced on Facebook on Wednesday that his wife and fellow singer Trisha Yearwood has tested positive for COVID-19, and is still experiencing symptoms. However, Brooks didn’t share what symptoms she’s having.
Brooks, 59, and Yearwood, 56, were recently exposed to the virus when a member of their team tested positive for it.
Due to someone on their team testing positive for Covid-19 and out of an abundance of caution, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are cancelling everything and testing and quarantining for two weeks. -Team Garth

Garth Brooks Announces Trisha Yearwood Tested Positive For COVID-19
While Brooks has tested negative, Yearwood did indeed test positive for the virus.
“The Queen and I have now tested twice,” Brooks said.
“Officially, she’s diagnosed as ‘on her way out of the tunnel’ now, though, which I’m extremely thankful for,” Brooks added. “Anyone who knows me knows my world begins and ends with Miss Yearwood, so she and I will ride through this together.”
“And anyone who knows her knows she’s a fighter and she’s been doing everything right, so I know we’ll walk out the other side of this thing together.”
Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood got married in 2005 and live just north of Nashville.
Trisha Yearwood’s COVID-19 Symptoms
Brooks confirmed that Yearwood is dealing with some symptoms but not which ones they are.
“She’s tough. She’s stronger than me,” Brooks continued, going on to ask fans for prayers.
“If anyone asks, that’s what you can do for her. That’s what I’m doing,” he said “Living with her, I sometimes take it for granted she’s one of the greatest voices in all of music, so the possible long-term effects on her concern me as her husband and as a fan.”
“We’re very lucky she is currently under the greatest care in the best city for treating and healing singers,” Brooks concluded.
Garth Brooks Performed At Biden’s Inauguration
In January, Brooks performed at Joe Biden’s inauguration. He described this experience as “how I get to serve this country,” according to The Tennessean.
“This is not a political statement,” Brooks said. “This is a statement of unity.”
Though Brooks did not endorse a presidential candidate last year, he acknowledged that he “might be the only Republican” at the inauguration.

Garth Brooks Invited To Perform By Jill Biden
After being invited to perform by Jill Biden, Brooks said that he chose to focus on “that bridge that brings us together” ahead of his appearance.
“In this case, you must rise beyond red and blue,” Brooks said. “You must rise beyond Black and white, gay-straight, male-female. Look at it from above, look at it from America.”
“That’s always kind of been my thing. You are all welcome at a Garth Brooks concert, and the whole mission of a Garth Brooks concert is for the people that come watch the show to leave the show lovin’ each other more than when they came in,” he continued. “That’s never going to change for me.”
