Last week, we reported that Duane Chapman aka “Dog The Bounty Hunter” had joined the search for Brian Laundrie, who is suspected of killing his girlfriend Gabby Petito. Now, however, Dog’s own daughter Cecily Chapman is calling his search for Laundrie a “publicity stunt.”
First, let’s check in on the latest from Dog’s search for fugitive Brian Laundrie in the video below.
Dog The Bounty Hunter’s Daughter Weighs In On Brian Laundrie Search
“He needs to back off and let the FBI handle it,” Cecily Chapman said of her estranged father, according to The New York Post. “It’s just a publicity stunt. That’s really what it is.”
Ironically, Cecily herself is garnering some high-profile publicity by publicly criticizing her bounty hunter dad.
After questioning how Dog is financing his hunt for Laundrie, Cecily suggests that her father is known to be shopping around a new reality show.
“A real network would be aware of the situation and I’m pretty sure everyone knows that this is a f—ing publicity stunt,” she explained.

Cecily Chapman Mocks Her Father
Not stopping there, Cecily claimed that videos showing Dog wading through swamp water looked “totally staged.” She also laughed off his claims that he’s actually making breakthroughs in tracking down Laundrie.
“What, you found a Monster Energy can? What does that do for anyone?” she questioned.
Cecily was referring to the empty can Dog found at Florida’s Fort De Soto Park that he alleged could be evidence.
The can was found near where Laundrie went with his parents after returning from the cross-country trip that he’d set out on with girlfriend.
Only 22-year-old Gabby Petito would never return from that trip and instead was found dead in Wyoming days after Laundrie’s homecoming.

Dog The Bounty Hunter Will ‘Never’ Catch Brian Laundrie
Cecily also feels that there is no chance that her father will track down Laundrie before law enforcement does.
“To be completely honest with you, the FBI is never going to let Dog the Bounty Hunter catch Brian anyway — the FBI is way too prideful for that,” she said emphatically.
Cecily and her younger sister Bonnie are estranged from Dog and have been attacking him in the media lately.
“Sadly, Bonnie and Cecily have been employed by disgruntled former associates with multiple felonies who want revenge at any cost and are attempting to tarnish my reputation,” Dog recently said.

Lyssa Chapman Supports Her Dad, Dog The Bounty Hunter
Dog’s daughter Lyssa feels differently than her sisters do about their dad, and she’s even been helping him with his search for Laundrie.
Lyssa is said to be manning Dog’s tip line and just yesterday said they have “a ton of information we are sorting thru.”
“Due to all the media coverage, we have had to let things cool down and allow the REAL leads come back in. Tips are once again becoming more streamlined and verifiable,” she tweeted.

Regardless of what Cecily thinks about her dad Dog The Bounty Hunter’s search for Brian Laundrie, we can all agree that he needs to be found and soon.
The family of Gabby Petito deserves answers and that young woman deserves justice. It’s that simple.
Let’s hope that the Chapman family finds a way to reconcile privately.
