People who watched the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight were wondering what Floyd said to the Irishman between rounds, particularly after the 4th round where the champ was seen pushing McGregor after the bell rang.
The fourth round was a definitive round and Conor McGregor had predicted he would end the fight by then. That’s when Mayweather told him, “You still haven’t knocked me out? You said it wouldn’t go past four, when are you going to use your power?”
Many predicted that McGregor wouldn’t even land one punch on Mayweather before going down. But, one judge actually had McGregor winning after the fourth round. By the 10th round, McGregor became fatigued to the point that the fight was called, handing Mayweather a perfect professional career of 50-0.
Mayweather said that he let McGregor throw punches to tire him out. “His punching power is solid but I’ve felt it before so I kept coming forward. It wasn’t the kind of power that stopped me coming forward,” the champ said. “I told you guys I’d come straight ahead. I could have sat back and counter-punched. My plan was to let him shoot heavy shots and take him down the stretch.”
Two hours after his win, Mayweather was celebrating and tweeting at his strip club, Girl Collection.
Thank you to the great country of Ireland and all the countries around the world for supporting me.

After the fight, McGregor said he didn’t think the match should have been stopped. The Irish MMA fighter said that he learned a lot from his first professional boxing match. As you can see in the video below, we will be seeing a lot more from the confident Conor McGregor.
McGregor and Mayweather were both well compensated for this fight. It went as predicted with Mayweather winning, but McGregor can’t complain after making $30 million for the historic fight.
