Brandon Rogers wasn’t your typical America’s Got Talent contestant. The 29 year old was a family medicine doctor. Simon Cowell believes Brandon was the first doctor to audition for this show. He even said that he sometimes sang for his patients.
Brandon stepped up the microphone and wowed the crowd and the judges with Stevie Wonders’ “Ribbon in the Sky.” With the approval of all four judges, Brandon was headed onto the next round!
But, he never got there. Brandon was killed in a car accident shortly after that. His performance hadn’t even aired yet. At the request of his family, America’s Got Talent has released Brandon’s audition. You can see his amazing performance in the video below. He clearly would have gone very far this season.
This man had a lot of talent and clearly had a big heart. It’s a shame that his life ended at a young age, but it’s fortunate that he was able to accomplish this dream of singing for a large audience on America’s Got Talent.
Share this if you think Brandon was a terrific singer!
