Alyssa Milano might be putting Hollywood in her rearview mirror and heading to Washington DC as the actress and leftwing activist is considering a run for Congress. 

Highlighting her name recognition and “deep pockets,” the “Who’s The Boss?” star said she is possibly taking aim at California’s 4th Congressional District.

This is a strong Republican district that is currently being represented by Tom McClintock. It’s such a conservative-leaning district that even Donald Trump won this slice of liberal California by nine points. 

Far Left Activism

Milano has been focusing more on being an online activist than acting in recent years. However, she did recently finish shooting a Netflix movie. And, plans to join an upcoming reboot of “Who’s The Boss” alongside her original co-star Tony Danza.

She took a prominent stand in opposing Brett Kavanagh’s Supreme Court nomination and regularly attacks Republicans on Twitter.

Her far-left politics likely won’t play well in the district she is currently scouting.

Her stances appear to mimic those of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Alyssa Milano is also helping raise money for far left causes like expanding the Senate to ensure longstanding Democratic control.

Alyssa Milano Eyes 2024 Run For Congress In California

Milano is playing the long game and won’t make a decision to run until after the 2022 midterm elections.

She is eyeing a 2024 campaign for California’s 4th Congressional District. It’s a seat that Republican Tom McClintock won in November.

“It’s going to take someone with, I think, name recognition and deep pockets to be able to run against McClintock, and so I’m considering it,” she said.

Milano went on, “I’m basically gathering information right now, speaking to different consultants, speaking to the community. I would love to maybe consider flipping that seat blue.”

If Milano does run for Congress, she promises to engage grassroots activists.

Alyssa Milano cites that she has been an activist since she was 15 years old.

“I’m very hands-on, boots on the ground, as far as the work that I do. And I would hope that anyone who’s considering running for office would be doing so from a place of service, which is where my heart is, rather than a place of power or to change up the system,” the actress said. “My intentions are to make the world a better place.”

Milano’s Hypocrisy

Jumping from an activist to a politician will pose serious problems for Milano. Her hypocrisy will take center stage.

She has a history of wanting to hold Republicans to different standards than Democrats.

Milano was quick to attack Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing over accusations of sexual assault.

She even had a sign during the hearing, which she attended, that stated she believed his accusers despite the lack of evidence. 

Meanwhile, Alyssa Milano stated that Tara Reade, who has been accusing Joe Biden of sexual assault for decades needed to have her accusations vetted.

Basically, Milano has a history of immediately believing women who accuse Republican men while she believes women accusing Democrats need investigation.

The way the district is currently drawn leaves little chance that Alyssa Milano can flip it blue.

But later this year, Congressional districts around the country will be redrawn based on the 2020 census.

California legislators could get creative and try to carve out a district for this starlet turned activist.
