Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence of Hunger Games and X-Men fame is lashing out at Republicans in a new PSA because they are trying to implement stricter voting laws. 

Lawrence’s Public Service Announcement

In a Public Service Announcement that’s a little over a minute long for a group called RepresentUs, Lawrence says:

“Whatever your personal politics are, whatever side of the aisle you find yourself on, you need to know that your vote matters and the outcome of our elections are not maneuvered and manipulated.” 

“In Texas, Georgia and Florida and 44 other states, there’s a radical wing of the Republican Party that is actively dismantling Americans’ rights to vote because they don’t have the numbers to win otherwise without gerrymandering or shutting down hundreds of voting facilities within reach of minorities and specifically targeting and carving out people of color,” the actress continued. “They can’t win, but this is cheating and it is not democracy.”

She’s bashing the Republican party for trying to tighten the voting rules following the 2020 election since the party lost the presidency as well as the majority in the Senate..

Lawrence Promotes ‘For The People Act’

Not stopping there, Lawrence proceeded to promote the “For the People Act,” which Fox News reported is the “largest overhaul of U.S. election law in at least a generation and covers many aspects of the voting process, including requiring states to automatically register eligible voters and offer same-day voter registration. ”

Unsurprisingly, the super-liberal Lawrence is a big fan of this bill.

“There’s a law in the senate right now called the For the People act and it can reverse these anti-voting laws and it can stop billionaires from being able to buy our elections,” she said. “It even says that all voting machines need to be made here in the U.S. , but it’s going to take a lot of pressure from us to get it to pass.”

Lawrence concluded by begging her fans to contact their lawmakers, saying, “Let the politicians bicker and throw tantrums. Let’s just make sure they remember who they work for.”

She Claims She Used To Be A Republican

Last year, Lawrence revealed that she was a Republican before Donald Trump got elected. 

“My first time voting, I voted for John McCain. I was a little Republican,” Lawrence said, according to USA Today.

She went on to say that though she can see “the fiscal benefits of the Republican policies,” she added added that she “could also see the social issues weren’t in line with my views.”

“When Donald Trump got elected, that just changed everything,” Lawrence added. “This is an impeached president whose [sic] broken many laws and has refused to condemn white supremacy, and it feels like there has been a line drawn in the sand. I don’t want to support a president who supports white supremacists.”

Lawrence also took to Twitter to “clarify” her past voting record.

“I would like to clarify my voting record, which is the subject of many circulating headlines,” she wrote. “I grew up in a republican family and voted for John McCain in 2008, but through Obama’s presidency, and growing up to realize I was voting against my own rights, I am proud to say I am a Democrat.”

Clearly, Jennifer Lawrence is just another wealthy Hollywood liberal elite who has lost all touch with reality and with what working class Americans need.
