After John Cena and Roman Reigns, the WWE finally has a new top merchandise king. But who could it be? Let’s find out!
The King Is Dead, Long Live The Man
That’s right, the biggest merchandise seller in the WWE at the moment is a woman. Becky Lynch, a.k.a. The Man from Ireland, has beaten out the likes of John Cena and Roman Reigns in merchandise sales. While I am not completely sure, this might be the first woman in history to do so?
Becky has not just beaten Cena and Roman Reigns as the top merchandise seller recently. Apparently, Lynch has been on the top of the sales board since November.

When the WWE notices an increase in revenue, that is usually when they start to push a superstar. Becky has been popular for a very long time, but it seemed like the WWE could not get behind her fully for the longest time. One does have to wonder if her merchandise sales have contributed to her playing a massive role in current day WWE. Once again, this also shows the importance of fans supporting their WWE superstars through merchandise.
Merchandise Sales Do Not Always Lead to Pushes
We cannot stress the importance of Becky Lynch beating both John Cena and Roman Reigns in merchandise sales. Cena and Reigns have been leapfrogging for the number one spot for some time. We must also mention that big merchandise sales do not always translate in pushes, as there are some exceptions to the rule.
Last year’s merchandise sellers included Roman Reigns, John Cena, AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor. While most of these men have obtained good bookings, Finn Balor has always been an exception to the rule. While the Universe adores Balor, Vince McMahon reportedly is not that fond of the Irish star.
