Trish Stratus recently had an interview where she recalls a backstage issue at WrestleMania 27 with a former colleague. Plus, a prominent WWE star is now missing from the 2K23 roster.

Trish Status – WrestleMania 27 Issue

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus recently was on an episode of the Chasing Glory podcast, hosted by her friend and ex-WWE ring announcer, Lilian Garcia. Stratus speaks about a backstage issue that took place during WrestleMania 27.

For those that recall, Stratus retired at the Unforgiven pay-per-view in 2006. She returned to WrestleMania 27 to team up with Jersey Shore star “Snooki” Nicole Polizzi and John Morrison for a six-person match.

The three faced off and defeated Michelle McCool, Layla, and Dolph Ziggler. As the story goes, John wasn’t overly thrilled that Trish “returned” to compete in WM, when the spot could’ve been given to a full-time star, like his then-gal pal, Melina.

Trish Status Gets The “Cold Shoulder” Right After WrestleMania 27

Stratus reveals that during the RAW after WrestleMania 27, Morrison gave her the “cold shoulder”. As Trish notes, they had their WM match and the night after they won their other bout against Vicky Guerrero and Ziggler.

Stratus went to raise his hand during the after-match celebration, and he brushed it off, going to the other side of Polizzi. The two ended up having a conversation backstage, in which Trish reveals she got “passionate” during it.

Stratus states she made it clear to John that he stole a moment from fans that were genuinely excited to see them perform as partners. Morrison replied with the fact that he was upset she “took a spot” from another talent by “being here”.

Stratus reveals that she replied by denying that she “took a spot” from anyone. She was “assigned” that WM 27 spot.

After all, she was on WWE’s Tough Enough at the time, which aired after RAW. She states she told John that the company brought her back to promote that show.

Stratus also notes that Morrison was later released, and some believed it was because of that WM 27 incident. However, at the end of the day, that was speculation.

Speaking of being “brushed off”, a WWE star is no longer on the 2K23 roster. More on this story, below.

Star Removed From 2K23

The WWE 2K23 roster was officially released this week. With that said, there seem to be some changes.

Trish Stratus WrestleMania 27

One major one is that Scarlett Bordeaux has been removed from the line-up. Other edits include name changes to Humberto Carillo and Angel Garza, who are now going as simply Humberto and Angel on the game.

In addition, Mace and Mansoor’s names are now spelled MA.CE and MAN.SOOR on the game’s roster. It’s unclear as to why Scarlett was taken off the official WWE 2K23 roster.

Scarlett’s Current Role In The WWE

Scarlett is the valet for her real-life hubby, Karrion Kross. Following their WWE return last year, she has wrestled occasionally.

Interestingly enough, Kross recently had an interview where he notes being “pissed” about his current position in the company. This 2K23 snub of his wife might not make things better.

It’s important to note that Karrion is featured in the 2K23 roster. There’s always a possibility Scarlett will be included as a manager.

Paul Heyman is a fine example of a character in a managerial role that is not included in 2K23’s roster. Perhaps she was initially included as a mistake and then edited out, as she won’t be participating in “in-ring” gameplays.
