The good news for Thunder Rosa fans is that she’s officially returned to AEW in a non-wrestling role. The even better news is that she also recently made amends to AEW talent, upon her comeback. Plus, All Elite champions re-sign a deal with the promotion.
Thunder Rosa Makes Amends To AEW Talent
Fightful Select is reporting a backstage talent meeting that was held before AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, February 8th. It was to talk about Thunder Rosa’s return.
Exciting news, #AEW fans! While my recovery continues, I'll join @AEW as a Spanish commentator & on-screen personality. I'm thrilled to be able to serve Spanish-speaking fans in this unique way. Health is a journey with ups and downs. Meanwhile, I'll see you from the booth!

According to the report, the meeting was productive. The aim was to “ease tensions” between the locker room and Rosa. It seems that a number of sources acknowledge that Rosa made a lot of amends for a number of issues from her last run.
Thunder Rosa & AEW Talent – The Issues
The report outlines some of the issues others had with Rosa. Some didn’t like her approach to things, and the thought was she made some people backstage seem like bullies.
Other complaints about Rosa include working stiff and sandbagging. Sounds like Thunder Rosa is looking to smooth things over for a fresh start.
Thunder Rosa debuted on AEW in August 2022. By the time March 2022 hit, she won her first gold by beating Britt Baker in a steel cage match in Rosa’s hometown of San Antonio, Texas.
Sadly, later that year in August, she came out on Dynamite and told fans she could not defend her AEW Women’s title due to an injury. At first, everyone seemed hopeful that Rosa would recover quickly.
That’s why Toni Storm was named “Interim” champion. However, the “Interim” was dropped for Storm’s reign in November 2022, and Rosa is still out of action.
While she’s still recovering from her injury, Rosa will work as an on-screen personality and Spanish commentator for AEW. It’s great that the company can find something for her, where she can still work, yet also heal.

Champions Re-Sign
Speaking of the February 8th Dynamite show, Colten and Austin Gunn won the AEW World Tag Titles from The Acclaimed. While their contracts were drawing to an end, Fight Select confirms that they re-signed with promotion.
The details of their deals are not known. However, the report reveals they are locked in for a number of years with AEW now.
The Gunn’s History With AEW
The Gunn brothers have both been with AEW since 2020. Austin debuted a little bit before Colten.
Along with their legendary WWE Hall of Famer dad, Billy Gunn, Austin was part of the sub-group Gunn Club, in Cody Rhodes’ Nightmare Family. In fact, he was one of the first members of that faction.
Colten would eventually make his way to the AEW roster later in 2020. The father and sons had quite the winning streak as faces, before turning heel in 2021.
In 2022, the boys turned from their dad, joined The Firm, and the Gunn Club was disbanded. Here’s to continued success in AEW for both Austin and Colten.
