There’s been a buzz that Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson could appear at this year’s WWE Survivor Series. A new report sheds light on whether he will be or won’t be there.

The Rock At Survivor Series?

There was word that The Rock could appear at the 2021 WWE Survivor Series. This was to celebrate his debut, 25 years ago.

Johnson debuted at the 1996 Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV), which took place in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. This year, the event is taking place in NYC.

The idea was that The Rock would participate in the event to honor this milestone anniversary with the WWE. His appearance would set up a feud between him and cousin Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

The feud was set to culminate at WrestleMania 38, set for Dallas, Texas in April 2022. A match like that one would certainly big a major draw.

Sounds Like The Rock Won’t Be At Survivor Series

According to Mat Men podcast’s Andrew Zarian, Johnson will be in Australia filming the Young Rock television series. Production for season 2 of the show is set to unfold sometime this month.

With that said, it’s not completely out of the question that The Rock could still appear at Survivor Series this year. It just means that it is highly unlikely as he’ll be busy with film production for the NBC series.

Despite the fact that he may not be there, WWE still has plans to honor The Rock during the PPV in some way. There might be a video package or some kind of mention.

It’s important to note, the focus could shift on this feud where the timeline is altered a bit. There’s a good chance Roman Reigns could face The Rock for WrestleMania 39 in L.A., come 2023.

The Rock has a busy schedule. Plus, the COVID-19 pandemic has likely interfered in some projects.

Will The Rock appear at Survivor Series? Only time will tell.

Over to other news, Ted DiBiase and his family are going through something that could mirror a WWE storyline for his alter ego, “The Million Dollar Man”. More on this story, below.

Ted DiBiase Linked To Embezzlement

It’s one of the biggest embezzlement cases that Mississippi has ever seen. Sadly, Ted DiBiase and his sons are at the forefront of it.

The Rock Survivor Series

In fact, the entire story sounds like something “The Million Dollar Man” would do, during his time in the WWE. However, life is imitating art.

According to Fightful Select, Heart of David Ministries, which is run by Ted DiBiase and his sons Ted Jr. and Brett, has been asked to repay millions. This, since an audit, reveals misspent TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) money.

Over $77 million dollars is owing. Shad White’s office, the State Auditor, has already ordered demands for the money to be returned.
