The loss at SummerSlam for Bianca Belair will create more sympathy towards the superstar, according to Vince McMahon. Also, Britt Baker vs Thunder Rosa is on tap for early 2022.

More On Bianca Belair Loss

Only two WWE pay per views over the past 18 months have seen fans. The second was SummerSlam and WWE delivered.

There were a bunch of title changes and two big returns. Becky Lynch is back and then the show closed with Brock Lesnar returning.

Both returns left fans talking, but one for negative reasons. With Sasha Banks unable to compete, Lynch returned and won the SmackDown Women’s Championship in 26 seconds.

Bianca Belair’s title run ending so abruptly left plenty of anger. It will lead to Becky Lynch being the top female heel on SmackDown.

And, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has more on Vince McMahon’s decision. In particular, he wants the fans to feel sympathy for Belair.

It will be interesting if the the plans work. Remember, WWE turned Lynch heel once and that led to “The Man.”

We will have to see how the live crowd reacts to her. A feud with Belair is likely to continue into the fall.

Belair won the belt from Banks in the main event of night one for WrestleMania 37. With Banks out and Lynch back, there is a new draw on the blue brand.

Major Britt Baker Program Set

Speaking of the women’s division, AEW has stepped up their game over the past year. Not long ago, Britt Baker captured the AEW Women’s Championship at Double Or Nothing.

Since winning gold, she has worked some minor programs. But, fans want to see her meet Thunder Rosa again.

The idea is for them to work another program in early 2022. So, both have a few months of work before they resume their rivalry.

During a set of tapings because of COVID, they battled in a Lights Out Match. It was a bloody affair that saw an array of weapons.

Thunder Rosa won, but many see that match as the moment that elevated Baker. Tony Khan purchased the rest of Thunder Rosa’s contract from the NWA, so both are locked-in to AEW.
