With fans soon heading back, that means John Cena and his WWE return is close to happening. Also, Sonya Deville’s stalker will not be a free man for a very long time.

John Cena – WWE Return Close

While it has only been about 15 months, it seems like a lifetime ago when WWE was running normally. Few could have imagined that COVID would cause drastic changes that are still happening.

Although, things are about to change. WWE is preparing to bring back fans and start traveling to states outside of Florida.

While they cannot visit all 50 states, some are starting to ease their restrictions such as Texas and Nevada. Therefore, touring will begin again on July 16.

WWE wants to make noise upon their return, so they have been mentioning John Cena. The 16 time World Champion has has not wrestled in over a year.

His final appearance was a loss to The Fiend at WrestleMania 36 in Firefly Funhouse match.

Cena has been busy filming, most recently a Peacemaker spin-off for HBO Max. That was filmed in Canada and should be out January 2022.

According to Dave Meltzer, WWE is looking to bring Cena back on July 16 to make a bigger deal of their return to somewhat normalcy.

July 16 is SmackDown and the last one before Money In The Bank. There is no word if a possible Cena appearance would be a one-off type deal.

Latest On Sonya Deville’s Stalker

Last summer, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose were in a dangerous situation. A stalker, named Philip A Thomas, broke into the house they were staying and had bad intentions.

At the time, the former tag team partners were feuding on TV and it would culminate at SummerSlam. Because of what occurred, a Hair vs. Hair Match was scratched and turned into a Loser Must Leave WWE.

Thankfully, neither were injured and Thomas was arrested. As reported, he was recently deemed incompetent to stand trial.

Now, he is still incarcerated and cannot be released without further order from the court. Therefore, he criminal case in likely over.

According to PW Insider, Thomas has not been released and will not receive his freedom unless it is ordered by the court.

Per the court:

“[Thomas] shall not commit, or cause any other person to commit, any acts of stalking against Petitioner, including stalking, cyber-stalking, aggravated stalking, or any criminal offense resulting in physical injury or death. Respondent shall not commit any other violation of this injunction through an intentional unlawful threat, word, or act to do violence to Petitioner.”

Deville is safe and hopefully Thomas gets the helps he needs.
