One month ago, we reported that the pop star Beyoncé was struggling to sell tickets for her Cowboy Carter tour. Unfortunately for her, these struggles have only gotten worse since then.

And this is all after winning a Grammy!

Beyonce Isn’t Selling Out Shows

New reports allege that Beyoncé has only managed to sell out three out thirty shows for her upcoming Cowboy Carter tour. The 27 remaining shows still have tickets available. The reports indicate that some of these shows have a high number of tickets that have yet to sell.

Beyoncé is having particular trouble selling her tickets to her shows in the United Kingdom. Earlier this month, The London Times ran an article titled, “She’s a global megastar — so why can’t Beyoncé sell out her UK tour?” According to that story, Ticketmaster was preparing for an “onslaught” that never came when the tickets became available.

It seems that British people struggled to connect to Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album, which was her attempt to go country.

“While I’m a Beyoncé fan, I personally don’t enjoy Cowboy Carter as much as her other albums,” one fan told the publication. “So I just decided not to get a ticket.”

We wouldn’t expect Brits to understand country, but is this indicative of something bigger?

Meanwhile In America…

Meanwhile, in the United States, many Beyoncé fans spent their money to see her Renaissance Tour just two years ago. A lot of these same fans then splurged on Taylor Swift tickets for her Eras Tour last year.

“Her fanbase did not like ‘Cowboy Carter’ — they were not impressed,” a music industry insider told News Nation. “They just blew their wad seeing her two years ago and in Taylor tickets… Bad economics right now.”

Another music insider ominously warned, “Sometimes you don’t retire. The fans retire you.”

That seems a bit premature, but it could mean no more country albums from Beyonce!

Fans Slam Beyoncé For Expensive Tickets

A major issue at play here is the astronomical cost of Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour tickets. Indeed, the prices for them range into the thousands of dollars range. As soon as the tickets became available, even Beyoncé’s most devoted fans began sounding off against the cost of them.

“Beyoncé and Ticketmaster got me [expletive] up. $950 for a decent seat before fees?!!!” one social media user commented. “And the resellers are going STRAIGHT TO HELL for charging $4000 to $6000 for a resale ticket.”

“Beyoncé should be ashamed for these ticket prices. Girl we were already willing to pay a good amount, but $1k+ for ALL floor seats?!” a second fan added before comparing this to Beyoncé’s 2023 Renaissance Tour. “I paid $600 for my Renaissance ticket and was right in front of the stage! You can’t tell me winning this Grammy brought her value up that quick.”

“The Beyoncé ticket prices are actually insane wanting ur fans to go into debt to add to your billions like girl,” a third fan wrote. A fourth livid fan stated, “I knew something was afoot when I saw other concerts for terrible artists charging Beyoncé prices. Because now Beyoncé price ain’t Beyoncé price!”

No wonder that one month later, fans are still simply not buying tickets to this tour.

Beyoncé’s Controversial Grammy Win

As for Beyoncé herself, she’s likely shocked that she’s struggling to sell tickets. After winning the Grammy for Best Country Album, she undoubtedly figured that fans would flock to see her Cowboy Carter tour. Unfortunately for her, however, this is clearly not the case at all.

Relive that win for yourself in the video below.

In the end, Beyoncé might want to back down and start lowering her Cowboy Carter tour ticket prices now. If she doesn’t, she might soon find herself performing for arenas full of empty seats.
