Last week, we reported that Beyoncé fans were fuming over the astronomical cost of tickets to her Cowboy Carter tour. Now, things have gotten even worse for the Grammy winner, as it’s been revealed that tickets to her Cowboy Carter shows in London are selling extremely slowly.
Beyoncé Struggles To Sell Tickets
Beyoncé, 43, is scheduled to perform six dates at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England in June. Tickets went on sale this past weekend on both Ticketmaster and the venue’s website. Fans immediately complained over the expense of the tickets, which ranged from £71 (~$90) to £950 (~$1,197).
“Those wanting to stand to see Beyoncé in London in June, [it’s] going to set you back £224.85,” one outraged fan wrote on social media. “Dynamic pricing or not… wow. Count me out.”
The cost of these tickets is already backfiring on Beyoncé. Indeed, days later, it’s been reported that the London tickets are selling slowly, with many of them still available at this time.
This has undoubtedly come as a humiliating surprise for Beyoncé, as she was likely expecting tickets to these shows to sell out within a few minutes – especially fresh off her victory at the Grammys.
Instead, she’s looking at the possibility of performing to many empty seats in just a few months’ time. Ouch, that has got to hurt!

Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour And Album
On the Cowboy Carter tour, Beyoncé will be performing in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Houston, Atlanta, Washington DC, and Las Vegas. Aside from London, Paris is the only other international city with tour dates.
This comes after Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album won Grammies for Best Country Album and Album of the Year. This was Beyoncé’s first country album, and it received great critical acclaim – though no awards from country music associations.
“Throughout it all, Beyoncé’s hands are confidently and charismatically on the reins,” The Independent’s Helen Brown wrote in her five-star review. “The righteous zeal of her mission, and the giddy range of sonic adventuring, repeatedly gave me chills I haven’t felt since the release of Lemonade.
“Back then she was fighting for her marriage,” Brown continued. “Now she’s fighting for a major culture shift. Throughout, she seeks to build bridges with the working men of the South, acknowledging their economic struggles… It’s a reminder that country music has always been about ‘three chords and the truth’. Beyoncé’s truth shines here with the fierce strength of the Texan sun. Cowboy hats off to her.”
Beyoncé Wins Best Country Album
Earlier this month, Beyoncé was visibly shocked as she won the Grammy for Best Country Album.
“I was not expecting this, I want to thank God – oh my God – that I’m able to still do what I still love after so many years,” Beyoncé said as she accepted the award from Taylor Swift, 35. “I think sometimes genre is a code word to keep us in our place as artists and I just want to encourage people to do what their passionate about. Stay persistent.”
“I’d like to thank my beautiful family, all of the artists that were collaborators, thank you, this wouldn’t have been this album without you,” Beyoncé continued. “God again, and I’m still in shock … and thank you again for this honor.”
Critics and awards shows may be huge fans of Cowboy Carter. Judging by Beyoncé’s struggle to sell tickets to her Cowboy Carter tour, however, it seems that fans may not agree. Only time will tell if Beyoncé is able to overcome this to sell out her London shows!
