Convicted Serial Pedophile Being Released After Becoming Transgender Woman

A felon convicted of many sex crimes against children is being let out of prison because he know identifies as a woman. The Iowa Attorney General’s Office sided with the criminal over protecting children. They claim a change in hormones prevents the transgender from being a threat.

Joseph Matthew Smith is a convicted child molester and pedophile with many victims. These children’s lives were damaged by this monster who is being given a pass by the government because he claims she is now a woman.

From Des Moines Register:

A preliminary report prepared by the state’s expert, Dr. Jeffrey Davis, says Smith molested as many as 15 victims, ranging from ages 1 to 13, before being sentenced to prison in December 2015.

The report found the likelihood of re-offending within five years of release exceeded 20% because victims were of both genders, and because Smith was under age 25 and never had a long-term relationship.

“Mr. Smith has not had an intimate relationship,” the report says. “His sexual encounters appear to have primarily involved molestation, including his own molestation by multiple perpetrators, or his victimization of others.”

Gender Reassignment While In Prison

Smith has been receiving gender reassignment treatment while being incarcerated. Smith now goes by Josie and uses female pronouns. His change in hormones is viewed by “professionals” as minimizing his risk of recidivism.

Given that his victims were of both sexes, this is not only outrageous but incredibly hard to accept.

Iowa has chosen to be politically correct. They are pandering to the extreme left by siding with this criminal rather than protecting children. People who sexually assault children are the dregs of society. Nothing should excuse these crimes, certainly not being confused about one’s gender. This outrageous case is just inviting all criminals to claim they are transgender in order to be released from prison.

In marking Smith’s transition from prison, Iowa Attorney General spokesman Lynn Hicks said “an offender’s hormone levels are an important part of substantiating an offender’s likelihood of recidivism.”

Smith’s transitional release began with a transfer to Sioux City Residential Treatment Facility. The transgendered criminal will have to register as a sex offender but as many headlines teach us, that does little to nothing to protect children from repeat offenders. Smith has already proven to be a serial child molester.
