Michael B. Jordan has confirmed that he’s taking on The Thomas Crown Affair remake project. The 1968 heist film starring Steve McQueen, Faye Dunaway, Paul Burke, and Jack Weston is the inspiration for Jordan’s new project.

Along with starring, directing, and producing the remake, he’ll be reteaming with his Black Panther co-star for the upcoming film Danai Gurira. In Black Panther, Jordan played as N’Jadaka, or Killmonger, who wanted to overthrow his cousin T’Challa. Danai Gurira played Okoye, the head of the Dora Milaje, Wakanda’s all-female special forces and T’Challa’s bodyguards in the franchise.
But that’s not all that we know about Jordan’s Thomas Crown Affair remake, as other stars have been confirmed to be a part of the project. Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, and Taylor Russell have also announced they will be joining the team.
The movie will be star-studded. And fans are eager to see what Jordan does with the films. Thankfully, the movies aren’t huge, so having Jordan’s take on the films shouldn’t create any tension.
The film follows a bored multi-millionaire who crafts the perfect crime to satisfy his need for excitement. While executing his heist, he runs across the investigator hired to catch the culprits, and they begin a torrid love affair full of twists and shocking turns.

As far as we know, Jordan will be taking on the mantle of Thomas Crown, the billionaire. And Russell has been chosen as the investigator in the film, who was initially played by Faye Dunaway. There hasn’t been any other confirmation on who the other characters will be playing.
Following his success with both the Blank Panther franchise and the 2025 box office success Sinners, we have high hopes for Jordan’s take on The Thomas Crown Affair remake.
