Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, the sequel to the 2019 hit film, now has a release date. The announcement from SearchLight Pictures on Thursday confirms that the film has finished filming.

When is Ready or Not 2 Coming Out?
Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is set to release on April 10th, 2026.
The film was announced in October 2024 at a screening of the original film. Now, we can get excited since the cameras have stopped rolling and an official release date is here.
What is Ready or Not 2: Here I Come About?
While we don’t know much about the sequel, we do know a few things.
In a post on Instagram and X, Samara Weaving is seen wearing the formerly white wedding dress that was drenched in blood by the end of the first film. Announcing the second film’s completion, it is confirmed that Here I Come will pick up right after the conclusion of the first film’s narrative.
However, we don’t know much more about the synopsis, which is under wraps. It will be interesting to see if the second film is a similar success to Ready or Not.

Cast in the Second Film
The sequel features the return of Samara Weaving as Grace, this time interacting with all-new characters.
These include Elijah Wood, Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kevin Durand, David Cronenberg, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, and Olivia Cheng.
Behind the Scenes of Ready or Not 2
Behind the screen, there are several returning members. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are back in the director’s chairs, along with writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy.
Producers include Tripp Vinson, William Sherak, Bradley Fischer, and James Vanderbilt.
Weaving, Busick, and Murphy are all executive producers, combining their talents with Chad Villella, Paul Neinstein, Greg Denny, and Tara Farney.

The Original Ready or Not Film
The first film was a commercial success, grossing around $28 million at the box office and more than $57 million worldwide. The film surpassed its $6 million original budget easily.
The first film centers around Grace, who couldn’t be happier after she marries the man of her dreams at his family’s estate. However, there’s one catch. She must now hide from midnight to dawn as her new in-laws hunt her down with guns, crossbows, and other weapons.
As Grace tries to survive the night, she finds a way to turn the tables on her new relatives.
