Gird your loins, people, as the wait is almost over!
That’s right, The Devil Wears Prada 2 teaser trailer is here, and it’s unveiling the first glimpse at the beloved sequel.
After almost 20 years, fans are finally getting reunited with the famed 2006 movie that stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci.
The film reunites the original main cast with director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, and introduces an all-new runway of characters, including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as “Lily” and “Irv” from the first film.

Fans have been following the fashion during production for months now, and have become even more excited now that the official teaser trailer has been released.
The teaser opens with a pair of bright red Valentino Rockstud pumps walking through an office, with clips of a runway show being prepared throughout. The wearer of said shoes is revealed to be Miranda Priestley herself, portrayed once again by Meryl Streep.
As she steps into the Runway elevator, the door stops from closing at the last second. Here, Andy Sachs walks in, portrayed by Anne Hathaway. The iconic Runway editor acknowledges Sachs, saying, “Took you long enough.”
Sachs then slips on a pair of sunglasses that match Priestley’s, which indicates the power balance beginning to shift.
The teaser mimics the introduction scene of the first film, where Priestley is introduced, stepping out of the car and making her way to the lobby.
This is an exciting time for fans. But even though we finally get to see the teaser, there’s still some time to wait, as the release date is set for May 1, 2026.
