Liberty-loving conservatives have received a big blow after Fox News removed Judge Andrew Napolitano from the the network.
The Judge had been speaking out about President Trump’s claims that President Obama wiretapped him during the campaign. Judge Nap went so far as to say that President Obama could have gotten the wiretap from GCHQ, which is the British equivalent of the CIA.
Judge Nap’s comments in the video below were parroted by White House Press Secretary, which seems to have caused the commotion.
Sean Spicer quoted Judge Nap word-for-word that sources had told Fox News that Obama used GCHQ.
‘Three intelligence sources have informed Fox News that President Obama went outside the chain of command. ‘He didn’t use the [National Security Agency], he didn’t use the CIA … he used GCHQ,’” Spicer quoted the Judge at a press conference.
That video is below.
President Trump also mentioned Judge Napolitano’s assessment to bolster his claims of being wiretapped. “I didn’t make an opinion on it. All we did was quote a certain very talented legal mind who was the one responsible for saying that on television. That was a statement made by a very talented lawyer on Fox. And so, you shouldn’t be talking to me, you should be talking to Fox,” the President said.
Judge Nap hasn’t appeared on Fox News since making these comments. Shepard Smith made an attempt to distance the network from the Judge’s comments by saying, “Fox News knows of no evidence of any kind that the now-president of the United States was surveilled at any time, in any way,”
