The new Disney remake of Snow White has officially flopped at the box office after it premiered on Friday. Now, Rachel Zegler, who plays the title role, is seemingly snubbing her co-star Gal Gadot, the actress portraying her nemesis the Evil Queen.

Snow White Flops

Snow White had a massive, $270 million budget. For what, exactly, no one knows.

Regardless, the movie flopped, making just $87.3 million globally.

In China, Snow White wasn’t even in the top five of movies in theaters, making less than $1 million there over the weekend. That is very bad news for the troubled film.

This came after Snow White was plagued by negative reviews that accused the film of being politically correct.

“This production has been cursed from the start. Disney’s contorted attempts not to offend anyone have somehow managed to offend everyone,” reviewer Brian Viner wrote for Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, making matters even worse for Disney, posts have gone viral on social media showing empty theaters for Snow White showings.

“Opening Friday night for Disney’s Snow White in IMAX,” one social media user wrote. “Only ONE person bought tickets for tonight. Yeah this movie’s gonna flop.”

“And for Saturday night? ZERO,” this social media user later added. “I’ve never seen a major movie from Disney have this little interest opening weekend. This is hilariously abysmal.”

Zegler Appears To Snub Gadot

Behind the scenes, there appears to be no love lost between Snow White stars Zegler and Gadot. Zegler, 23, celebrated the Snow White premiere by posting a series of photos to Instagram from her time on set. Not a single photo featured Gadot, however, and Zegler also made no mention of her in her post. This struck many as a pointed snub, given the fact that Zegler and Gadot are the two undisputed stars of the movie.

“This movie was a life-changing experience that has held about four years of my career. the growing up you do from the age of twenty (when i was cast) to twenty-three (the age i am now) cannot be accurately described, yet they exist here on film forever,” Zegler wrote.

“I became a real adult during the course of this film— learned hard lessons, did hard things, laughed, cried, turned 21, lived across the ocean from my family, made new friends, and completely fell in love with this group of people i got to work with for three magical summers in London,” she continued.

It took three years to film… and no one saw trouble coming? Come on!

Zegler went on to gush over “the greatest crew in the world,” later adding that the photos she posted didn’t “even dig into the fun, the magic, and the love that was shared throughout this process.”

Snow White is now in theaters. it’s a huge chunk of my heart and it’s now yours,” Zegler concluded. “I hope you enjoy and feel the magic we were lucky enough to live each day. and remember, you’re the one who can fill the world with sunshine.”

It seems that this Snow White remake is something that Disney will want to put behind them as quickly as possible. In the end, it seems impossible that Snow White will not even come close to making up its massive $270 million budget.
