When Disneyland in California reopened last week, it unveiled the revamped version of one of its original rides – Snow White’s Scary Adventure.
Snow White Ride Is Revamped
Entertainment Weekly reported that the new version of the ride has been praised “for its upgrades which include new audio, new animation, new music, and stunning visual technology that includes laser projections and LED lights.”
However, one particular aspect of the ride has come under fire from the “woke” left.
Here’s a look inside the upgrades that were made:
The ride ends just like the classic 1937 movie does. Prince Charming kisses a sleeping Snow White to wake her up with “true love’s kiss.”
This is a new part of the ride. It used to end with the death of the Evil Queen.
Though it is supposed to be a heartwarming conclusion to the ride, theme park reviewers Katie Dowd and Julie Tremaine were not having it. They say the kiss is “non-consensual” since Snow White is asleep when the prince does it.

Theme Park Critics Sound Off
They wrote for SFGate that the kiss is one “he gives to her without her consent, while she’s asleep, which cannot possibly be true love if only one person knows it’s happening. Haven’t we already agreed that consent in early Disney movies is a major issue? That teaching kids that kissing, when it hasn’t been established if both parties are willing to engage, is not okay?”
Not stopping there, Dowd and Tremaine questioned how it was even possible that Disneyland would not have fixed this “outdated” problem.
Thankfully, some people have been pushing back on this attack on Disneyland, including New York Rangers player Matt Traynor.
Trainer Defends Disneyland
“I’m sorry, this is what’s wrong with the world. Snow White, a fictional character getting brought back to life by a kiss by her future husband. Y’all taking things too far and ruining the gullible by making them believe this is what to flip out about instead of REAL issues…” he tweeted.
