Meghan Markle’s lifelong friend has some words of caution for Prince Harry about his future bride. Ninaki Priddy claims she is not shocked the Suits star is about to become part of British Royalty. Even though in their engagement interview Meghan claimed not to know much about the Royal Family before meeting Harry, Priddy claims Meghan was a bit obsessed with the Royal Family.

Priddy and Markle met in kindergarten and became inseparable. In 1996, the best friends traveled to Europe. They even snapped a picture in front of a place Meghan is about to be very familiar with, Buckingham Palace.

“I’m not shocked at all,” said Priddy. “It’s like she has been planning this all her life.” Meghan’s lifelong friend has some advice for Prince Harry: be careful.

“She gets exactly what she wants and Harry has fallen for her play. She was always fascinated by the Royal Family,” Priddy continued. “She wants to be Princess Diana 2.0. She will play her role ably, but my advice to him is to tread cautiously.”

Markle is known to some as “Princess Pushy” for her drive to always get what she wants, making this background story from her childhood friend all the more interesting.

The picture of Meghan Markle in front of Buckingham Palace as a teen is very intriguing to some. Was she really plotting to snag a Prince as her friend alludes or was she simply an American teenager snapping a picture in front of a British landmark?

Prior to marrying the Prince, Meghan will be baptized and confirmed in the Church of England which Harry’s grandmother the Queen heads. Following the wedding, the new Duchess will apply for British citizenship. This process takes approximately three years. Harry’s press secretary said she would go through the citizenship process just like any other immigrant. He didn’t provide details about whether Markle will remain a United States citizen as well.
