Ralph “Boonie” Lethbridge hadn’t shaved in 39 years. The proudly bearded Canadian felt he needed to do something drastic when his good friend was diagnosed with ALS.
Boonie decided to have a unique fundraiser. He had his decades old beard shaved off at a local skating rink. The event raised $51,000 for an ALS organization.
