In the past twenty years over 700 children have died from being left in hot cars. It’s a serious problem and one that doesn’t have to end in such tragedy.

A Texas ten year old is looking to solve this problem after a 6 month old neighbor died in a car after being accidentally left inside. His solution is one that could save a lot of lives.

Bishop Curry invented the Oasis, it sits on the headrest and monitors the temperature. If it gets to a certain temperature, a fan comes on and a signal is sent to the parents and authorities. Bishop and his father set up a GoFundMe to produce the Oasis, which is pictured below.

It has raised over $24,000 and companies are already interested in the fifth grader’s invention as the video below. This invention is so straightforward that you will wonder why you didn’t think of it before!

Bishop was upset after his infant neighbor died in a hot car, but instead of complaining or blaming fingers, he is helping solve the problem! What a great kid!
