Star of the most recent box office disaster, Snow White, is back again with another role. Rachel Zegler announces new film after being the center of Snow White’s controversies for the past few years.
With a production budget of $269.4 million, the movie has only earned roughly $200 million, making it a huge flop. Not only that, but IMDb rates the movie at 1.6 out of 10 while Rotten Tomatoes gives it a whopping 40%.

But that hasn’t stopped Zegler from landing a new role quickly after Snow White’s release. Rachel Zegler announces new film called She Gets It From Me, a comedy-drama directed by Julia von Heinz, according to Variety.
The movie is based on a true story about a woman named Nicky (Zegler), “whose engagement celebration turns into a search for her pill-popping, ex-punk rocker birth mother, Charlotte (Marisa Tomei).”

The film is hoping to deliver a family drama that delivers great comedy with an ensemble cast. Fans were shocked to see Rachel Zegler getting back into the movie scene after receiving immense backlash for her Snow White role.

Most of the controversy revolved around Zegler’s comments on certain creative elements of the classic tale. One in particular was when Zegler announced that the movie would lean more feminist than the original movie. But for most who watched the film, they wanted a true adaptation of the story, not a feminist movement.

This, along with several other controversies, only helped the show receive such bad reviews. Fans are hoping that the newest announcement with She Gets It From Me shows a better side of Rachel Zegler.
