When we hear “one-hit wonder,” it often refers to the music industry. However, there are also one-hit wonder celebrities, too, especially within reality TV. While the individuals may make an impression during a few episodes or for a single moment, they often largely fade from the spotlight as the next celebrity gets their turn in the spotlight. Keep reading to check out these six one-hit wonder celebrities below.

6. Kevin Federline

Starting our list of one-hit wonder celebrities is Kevin Federline. You may remember him from his marriage to Britney Spears, but he also appeared on reality TV. The show, titled Britney & Kevin: Chaotic, offered a small glimpse into their lives, which also coincided with Federline’s brief foray into the music industry. However, his single “PopoZão” was a one-hit flop and ended his music career dreams.

5. Tiffany Pollard

Fifth on our list of one-hit wonder celebrities is Tiffany “New York” Pollard. She found her spotlight in Flavor of Love, debuting a dramatic personality that enthralled fans. She used this newfound popularity to create her own spin-off, I Love New York. While she was highly memorable in reality TV culture, her status was contained within the niche of early 2000s “Celebreality” programming and didn’t translate into other Hollywood spaces.

4. William Hung

Next on our list of one-hit wonder celebrities is William Hung. A contestant on the popular singing reality show American Idol in season three, Hung became famous for his cringeworthy audition performance of Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs.” He earned a record deal from his novelty fame and later released an album that charted. However, once the joke went out of style, so did William Hung.

3. Michaele Salahi

Rounding out the top three one-hit wonder celebrities is Michaele Salahi. She was one of the cast members on the short-lived reality show The Real Housewives of D.C. Her defining moment came outside of the show, when Salahi allegedly crashed a White House state dinner, launching her to fame (or possibly infamy). It was the only incident of note within the show, which was canceled after one season, leaving Michaele Salahi behind.

2. Carly Rae Jepsen

Second on our list of one-hit wonder celebrities is Carly Rae Jepsen. The singer is consistently referred to as a “one-hit wonder” due to her massive 2012 success with the song “Call Me Maybe.” Jepsen first found her place in the limelight on Canadian Idol, winning third place in 2007. While many only remember her one song, Jepsen has had a critically acclaimed career with other hits like “I Really Like You” and “Good Time.”

1. Richard Hatch

Last but not least on our list of one-hit wonder celebrities is Richard Hatch. Many may know him as the winner of the first season of Survivor, all the way back in 2000. He quickly became a reality TV superstar and household name after his Survivor success. However, even though he appeared in several subsequent reality shows, Hatch never could regain the same amount of fame, and instead became known for his later career tax evasion issues.
