Things got weird on the ABC talk show The View once again on Thursday morning. Indeed, Whoopi Goldberg kicked off the show by bizarrely urging her co-host Joy Behar to stop wearing bras.
Yes, you sadly read that correctly!
The View Goes Off The Rails
At the start of Thursday’s show, the 83 year-old Behar walked out onstage wearing a sultry leather jacket. She completed her look with shoulder pads and bright red lipstick.
Goldberg, 69, was welcoming the audience as she does every morning when she became distracted by Behar’s hand being placed in front of her chest.
“I thought you were moving your bra around,” Goldberg told Behar. Their co-host Sunny Hostin proceeded to explain that Behar was simply trying to wipe something off of her hand.
“She is dressed like a dominatrix, though,” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin chimed in to add, citing Behar’s leather outfit.
That’s when things truly started to go off the rails.
“Why do I have to wear a brassiere anymore? I don’t want to do it anymore. I just don’t,” Behar whined.
“Just let ‘em go,” Goldberg advised her.
Behar was reluctant to take this advice, saying that she “can’t have things hanging around like that.”
“Not on TV, anyway,” Behar added.
Goldberg, however, was not having any of it.
“Just so you know, I’ve been hanging for years,” Goldberg confessed. “But that’s neither here nor there.”
Thanks for letting us all know, Whoopi…not!
Behar’s Previous Bra Comments
This unfortunately isn’t the first time that Behar’s bra has come up on The View.
In a May episode of The View, Behar expressed her desire to go braless.
“You know what I feel like doing right now? Letting these girls loose!” Behar declared in a May 20 episode. “Back up! Back up! I’m taking the whole thing off.”
This prompted Goldberg to say that she doesn’t “wear a bra,” something that she is clearly very proud of.
“She liberated those girls a long time ago!” Behar exclaimed.
“I have not worn a bra in 50 years,” Goldberg revealed. “It’s too uncomfortable and I don’t mind if they hit the floor, they’re mine.”

Behar Accidentally Exposes Her Bra
Back in 2023, Behar accidentally exposed her bra to her female co-hosts during a commercial break. When the show returned, Goldberg bizarrely felt the need to tell the entire world what happened.
“The biggest surprise happened to us seconds ago when Joy’s bra started making all kinds of eyes at people at the table,” Goldberg said.
“I mean, it was like an earthquake, and suddenly the bra was like, ‘Helllooo,'” she continued. “It was something else.”
If only the women of The View would keep some things to themselves…
Behar’s ‘Thirst Trap’
Behar has also felt the need to discuss her chest on other shows. During a September appearance on Watch What Happens Live!, Behar discussed potential Real Housewives taglines for herself.
Indeed, Behar’s first choice would be “take a little time to enjoy this view.” As she said this, Behar began to seductively unbutton her sweater and push her chest out.

On the next morning’s episode of The View, Behar’s co-hosts teased her about this, claiming that it was a “thirst trap.
“That is not a thirst trap,” Behar claimed.
“Why would you show the twins if you weren’t wanting attention?” questioned her co-host Sara Haines.
“Because it was a joke,” Behar replied. “I’m a comedian, hello!”
Sorry, Joy, but it’s safe to say that nobody finds anything involving your breasts to be very funny.
In the end, this serves as a reminder of just how nauseating The View really is as a show. No wonder nobody is watching it anymore!
