Yesterday, we reported that Whoopi Goldberg snapped on The View, exclaiming “what the hell?!” after one of her co-hosts handed her a note on live TV. This led to many speculating that Goldberg might finally be fired from the ABC talk show.
Now, Goldberg has learned her fate when it comes to her future on The View.
Goldberg Snaps On The View
Goldberg was furious when her co-host Sunny Hostin handed her a note correcting a jab she’d made at President Donald Trump.
“What the hell? What?” Goldberg said as she looked at the note. “We don’t know if Trump used an autopen to pardon, it was a joke!”
Goldberg proceeded to rip up the note, which clearly came from her own producers. This prompted many to think that ABC might finally fire Goldberg.
“About time they started calling this hack out. Do better – FIRE THEM ALL,” one social media user commented. Another added, “Why are they still spewing lies, hate and misinformation. Get rid of these dinosaurs.”

Goldberg Learns Her Fate
Now, Goldberg has learned her fate on The View, which she’s co-hosted since 2007. Unfortunately for those who desperately want her gone, an ABC source is saying that she has nothing to worry about.
“Whoopi will stay on the show for as long as they will have her,” the insider told Daily Mail. “She’s not as controversial as the other hosts and certainly isn’t even considered to be on the chopping block.”
“She gets paid very well, and typically always follows orders from producers,” the source continued. According to this insider, The View has become “part of Whoopi’s life.” That’s why she won’t be leaving unless she either gets a “bigger offer” somewhere else or her “health deteriorates.”
“She also loves having the flexibility where she’s off every Friday, so she uses that time to travel or work on other projects,” the source concluded.
Another Insider Weighs In
Another insider close to the talk show claimed that Goldberg will be staying on The View “for the foreseeable future.”
“Every few years, the show has its SNL moment and considers changing the panel and mixing it up,” this source explained. “And sometimes that is exactly what happens and people leave, people are replaced, fired, or resign.”
“But as of right now, they’re happy with the panel and the direction of the show and many love Whoopi,” the insider stated. “She is staying for the foreseeable future, as long as she wants, and replacement talk or discussions about her leaving have not taken place.”
According to this source, “ratings are great” on The View. ABC executives are also apparently happy with the press coverage generated by the controversial talk show.
“Nobody is looking to mess up the current chemistry from those at the table to producers behind the scenes,” the second insider concluded. “There can and always will be issues, but Whoopi isn’t one of them.”
This undoubtedly comes as a huge disappointment to the millions of Americans who are sick and tired of Goldberg having a platform to spew her radically liberal opinions. ABC executives may have her back now, but should Goldberg continue to snap on The View, her days on the program could still be numbered.
