Since taking over as host of Wheel of Fortune from the iconic Pat Sajak, Ryan Seacrest has had quite a few embarrassing moments. He suffered yet another one this week when he had a humiliating fall on the Wheel of Fortune stage this week.
Seacrest Falls On Wheel Of Fortune
Seacrest, 50, explained to the audience that his new favorite festival is the Gloucestershire Cheese Rolling Festival, which is hosted in the United Kingdom. There, participants race down a large hill chasing a wheel of cheese. In the end, participants who manage to catch the wheel can win it.
“So what could be better?” Seacrest said in a video posted to the Wheel of Fortune Instagram page last weekend.
“You ready to try it?” asked Seacrest’s co-host Vanna White, 68. She proceeded to hold up a wheel of cheese that had the Wheel of Fortune logo printed on it.
“I was born for this,” Seacrest responded.
Unfortunately for Seacrest, however, it didn’t take long for him to realize just how wrong this statement was!
Segment Goes Downhill
White rolled the wheel, and Seacrest ran after it, seemingly as quickly as he could. Things took a turn for the worse as he lunged for the wheel. After seemingly taking a wrong step, Seacrest fell over the cheese wheel. He ultimately ended up belly-flopping and face-planting on the Wheel of Fortune stage. A loud thud could even be heard as Seacrest fell.
White was visibly shocked, throwing her hands to her face in clear concern.
“Oh no! Are you going to be OK?” White asked Seacrest. She eventually confirmed that “He’s OK!”
Seacrest managed to get back up on his feet and hold up the wheel of cheese. The segment eventually ended with him hiding behind White and trying to catch his breath as he said goodbye to viewers.

Social Media Users Respond
The clip immediately went viral, with social media users giving their thoughts on it.
“Vanna had better be ready to step in for Ryan in case he injures himself!” one fan commented. Another added, “I know that hurt! But he got right back up! Yay ryan.”
“Humpty Dumpty had a great fall, sorry Ryan… you are Humpty tonight,” a third user commented.
Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time that Seacrest ended up on the ground on the Wheel of Fortune stage. Back in January, he was knocked to the ground by a contestant who was so excited by his win, that he gave Seacrest a huge hug. Sadly for Seacrest, the hug was so forceful that he fell over!

Seacrest Gets Put Into A Headlock
Then last month, Seacrest was stunned to find himself put in a headlock by a contestant. During an episode at the end of March, Seacrest learned that one of his contestants was the former wrestler “Big Bill” Page. Seacrest found himself in the headlock after asking Page to show him some of his moves.
As you can see below, Seacrest definitely ended up regretting that one!
