Last week, we reported that the first trailer for Meghan Markle’s new Netflix cooking show With Love, Megan had just dropped on Netflix. Unfortunately for Meghan, it was immediately ripped to shreds by critics and fans alike.

Now, things have gotten even worse for Meghan, as it’s being reported that the royal family “couldn’t give a damn” about her new show.

Royals Aren’t Worried About Meghan’s New Show

“I was told that the Prince and Princess of Wales have no interest in Meghan’s future projects,” Kinsey Schofield, host of the “To Di For Daily” podcast, told Fox News. This was a reference to Prince William and Kate Middleton.

“A palace source told me, ‘Meghan was a background character in a chapter that’s already closed,’” Schofield continued. “Courtiers don’t believe that Meghan is worth the mental real estate.”

“The palace plans to assign someone of lower rank to sit through the show, so the communications office has a heads up if there is something to brace for,” Schofield added. “Netflix is not giving the palace, or anyone, screeners so they will see it in real-time with the audience. Regarding the vapid celebrity-focused theme, courtiers are just grateful that Meghan’s taken a break from attacking the institution.”

Ouch. That’s some brutal stuff.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams chimed in to bluntly claim that the royals  “couldn’t give a damn” what Meghan does.

“Meghan does still make news, and the Sussex brand still fascinates,” he said. “But… [the series] looked pretty superficial to me. I wondered where the Kardashians were.”

Ouch again!

Meghan’s New Show Is ‘Make Or Break’ For Her

Prior to her 2018 marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan spent years trying to make it as an actress in Hollywood. While she was eventually cast on the cable drama Suits, she was never a household name until her engagement to Harry was announced.

Meghan and Harry shocked the world when they stepped down as senior royals in 2020. They then moved across the world to Southern California, where Meghan was born and raised. There, they signed a $100 million deal with Netflix, which is set to expire this year.

Their last Netflix series Polo flopped miserably. A Netflix source confirmed to Daily Mail last month that With Love, Meghan is “make or break” for Meghan and Harry if they want this deal to be renewed.

“It’s make or break,” the source stated. “People say Netflix are exhausted. It’s so much work with her and, bluntly, the ‘deliverable’ does not seem to be worth it.”

With Love, Meghan

With Love, Meghan is set to premiere on January 15. The trailer shows Meghan, 43, cooking in a Montecito, California kitchen and picking produce from her garden. She is also seen chatting with famous friends like Mindy Kaling, best known for starring in the comedic television series The Office, as the song “Do You Believe In Magic” plays in the background.

Does that sound corny? Many fans think so. No wonder the royals aren’t worried about it!

“I’ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it, surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them,” Meghan said in the trailer. “I’m going to share some little tips and tricks and how you incorporate these practices every day.”

“This is about connecting with friends,” she added. “We’re not in the pursuit of perfection we’re in the pursuit of joy.”

Since leaving the royal family, Meghan has disrespected them seemingly every chance she’s gotten. In the end, we can certainly understand why Kate, William, and the rest of the royal family want absolutely nothing to do with her!
