Rosie O’Donnell, who fled America and moved to Ireland last year because of Donald Trump’s second presidential victory, is now claiming that the latest assassination attempt on the president’s life was “fake.”

O’Donnell Calls Assassination Attempt ‘Fake’

On Saturday, a gunman opened fire at the White House Correspondents Dinner. It was later confirmed that his intent was to kill Trump, who was in attendance at the event. Thankfully, nobody was injured in the shooting, and the Secret Service were quickly able to apprehend the suspect.

Two days later, O’Donnell took to TikTok to baselessly claim that this shooting was a hoax.

“It’s so good when you don’t want to watch the news about fake assassination attempts or what they’re calling an assassination attempt,” said O’Donnell, 64. “Somebody decided it shouldn’t be a high security event with everyone in the cabinet there. And the president and the vice president and the first lady.”

“And you know, congresspeople. Somebody decided they didn’t need a lot of security and who was that? I wonder who decided that and when and how they decided that with all those people there,” she continued. “It just gets more ridiculous every day, and I think he’s forgotten how many times they’ve attempted this. The things he remembers and the things he chooses to forget. ”

O’Donnell’s Previous Assassination Attempt Comments

O’Donnell previously suggested that the 2024 assassination attempt on Trump, which was the first of three, was fake.

“I don’t know what happened that day,” O’Donnell said at the time. “But I don’t think it was a bullet that him. I don’t. I think it was maybe a fragment of something. But I don’t know. Without a scar to be seen yet blood all over it.”

O’Donnell went on to express her doubts about the famous photo of Trump pumping his fist in the air after this assassination attempt as the Secret Service led him to safety.

“Look at the photos of him right after with his fist-pumping – a normal reaction, right? To almost being assassinated?” she stated. “There’s something really hinky about the whole thing. I don’t know what it is, but I am saying this: for people who go on conspiracy theories for endless cycles, deep dives, how come this isn’t getting a deep dive? How come people are just like, ‘look, his ear is normal now’?”

“He’s not an octopus,” O’Donnell added. “He doesn’t regrow his limbs, his ears, his nose, or whatever. We don’t regrow, we’re humans.”

O’Donnell Flees America

O’Donnell shocked the world last year when she announced that she had fled America because of Donald Trump’s second presidential victory. Indeed, she revealed that she’s settled in Ireland with her youngest child Clay.

“I’m here in Ireland, and it’s beautiful and warm – not physically, it’s actually quite cold,” O’Donnell said in a video posted to TikTok on March 11, 2025. “Moved here on Jan. 15, and it’s been pretty wonderful, I have to say.”

“Although I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that’s what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child,” O’Donnell later added. “It’s been heartbreaking to see what’s happening politically and hard for me personally, as well. The personal is political, as we all know.”

O’Donnell went on to indicate that she might actually have some regrets about this move.

“I miss my other kids, I miss my friends,” she whined. “I miss many things about life there at home. And I’m trying to find a home here in this beautiful country.”

O’Donnell Rants Against Trump

Despite fleeing America, O’Donnell has continued to obsessively rant against President Trump. Indeed, it’s clear that the president is still living rent-free in her head.

In a recent TikTok video, O’Donnell responded to Trump’s threat to destroy Iran’s civilization. She also responded to him sharing an AI-generated image depicting him as Jesus.

“We gotta do something America,” O’Donnell raged. “He just put out a thing that he’s Jesus. He’s threatening to nuke countries, he’s digging up the White House and putting up a Putinesque meets Saudi Arabia ballroom in our White House.”

“He’s arresting people, putting them in detention camps. In case of emergency, break glass and pull the fire alarm,” she continued. “We should all be pulling the fire alarm. It is beyond the beyond at this point.”

O’Donnell’s level of Trump derangement syndrome is nothing short of disturbing at this point. Here’s hoping she gets some help for it and finds a way to move on with her life!
