It’s been over a year since the radically liberal Rosie O’Donnell fled America and moved to Ireland. She did this in response to Donald Trump’s second presidential victory.

Over the past few weeks, rumors have swirled on social media that O’Donnell is returning to America. Now, O’Donnell has broken her silence to address these rumors and reveal the truth.

O’Donnell Responds To Rumors

O’Donnell, 63, took to Instagram to reply to a post alleging that she was selling her Irish mansion to return to the United States. Luckily for all of us, she confirmed that there is no truth to these rumors.

“TOTAL [expletive] – I CAME HOME TO MEET MY GRANDSON – GOING BACK THIS WEEKEND,” O’Donnell wrote.

Phew, we all dodged a bullet there!

That same day, O’Donnell took to Instagram to share a photo of herself holding her grandson Anthony Joel. The newborn is the son of O’Donnell’s son Blake, who is one of her five children.

“best day ever – met my grandson anthony – truly a beautiful child – im so proud of the happy parents teresa and blake,” O’Donnell wrote in the caption. She added the hashtag “#nana.”

This comes two months after O’Donnell admitted that she had quietly come crawling back to America.

“I was recently went home for two weeks and I did not really tell anyone, I just went to see my family,” O’Donnell said at the time. She added that she “wanted to see how hard it would be for me to get in and out of the country. I wanted to feel what it felt like.”

“I wanted to hold my children again,” the mother of five continued. “And I hadn’t been home in over a year. I also wanted to make sure that it was safe for me before I brought my daughter this summer, where we plan to spend the summertime off from her schooling here with my family.”

O’Donnell could not help but admit that she was “very excited to be home.”

It looks like America isn’t so bad after all, huh Rosie? Go figure!

O’Donnell Flees America

O’Donnell shocked the world last year when she announced that she had fled America because of Donald Trump’s second presidential victory. Indeed, she revealed that she’s settled in Ireland with her youngest child Clay.

“I’m here in Ireland, and it’s beautiful and warm – not physically, it’s actually quite cold,” O’Donnell said in a video posted to TikTok on March 11, 2025. “Moved here on Jan. 15, and it’s been pretty wonderful, I have to say.”

“Although I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that’s what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child,” O’Donnell later added. “It’s been heartbreaking to see what’s happening politically and hard for me personally, as well. The personal is political, as we all know.”

O’Donnell went on to indicate that she might actually have some regrets about this move.

“I miss my other kids, I miss my friends,” she whined. “I miss many things about life there at home. And I’m trying to find a home here in this beautiful country.”

O’Donnell Attacks Trump

Despite fleeing America, O’Donnell has continued to obsessively rant against President Trump. Indeed, it’s clear that the president is still living rent-free in her head.

In a recent TikTok video, O’Donnell responded to Trump’s threat to destroy Iran’s civilization. She also responded to him sharing an AI-generated image depicting him as Jesus.

“We gotta do something America,” O’Donnell raged. “He just put out a thing that he’s Jesus. He’s threatening to nuke countries, he’s digging up the White House and putting up a Putinesque meets Saudi Arabia ballroom in our White House.”

“He’s arresting people, putting them in detention camps. In case of emergency, break glass and pull the fire alarm,” she continued. “We should all be pulling the fire alarm. It is beyond the beyond at this point.”

We’re just glad that O’Donnell has shot down the rumors that she’s returning to America. In the end, America is simply better off without her in it.

Good riddance, Rosie O’Donnell!
