Over the past few months, fears have grown for the culinary TV star Rachael Ray after she made a series of bizarre public appearances. Now, a renowned psychic is weighing in on her situation. What he had to say might come as a surprise to Ray and her fans, as he believes that she is currently in a “critical transition phase” in her career.
Psychic Weighs In On Ray
Ray, 56, was the top star of the Food Network for decades. Indeed, she skyrocketed to fame in the early 2000s with her popular show 30 Minute Meals. Ray then hosted her own talk show The Rachael Ray Show from 2006 until it was canceled in 2023.
Since then, Ray has struggled to find her footing. In recent months, her fans have been worried about her health as Ray has been seen appearing to slur her words in multiple videos posted to social media.
These days, Ray is starring in the FYI show Rachael Ray in Tuscany, which she films from her home in Tuscany. She also has the A+E program Meals In Minutes. On top of that, Ray has her own podcast, which is called I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead.
Despite this, the Brazilian psychic Athos Salomé, 38, believes that Ray is “swimming against the tide” when it comes to her career.
Salomé, who is known as the “Living Nostradamus” because of the accuracy of many of his predictions, is speaking out to warn Ray that the market she has been part of for years is rapidly changing directions. If Ray doesn’t change with it, he thinks she’s in big trouble.
“She is in a critical transition phase,” Salomé told Daily Mail. “She should be able to sign one or two cable or streaming deals by the end of 2026. Nothing grandiose – short specials, ‘safe and risk-free’ programs, to keep her name in circulation.”
However, Salomé predicts that Ray has only about a 30% chance of scoring a “major” streaming deal. Despite this, he still thinks it’s a goal she should be aiming for.

Salomé’s Advice For Ray
Salomé went on to talk about Ray’s YouTube and Instagram pages. Though she uses them to post clips from her shows, most of her videos don’t even come close to going viral. Even so, Salomé thinks these pages still have the potential to grow, if Ray plays her cards right.
“It will be a slow and consistent increase, to keep the loyal audience, which is already older,” he explained.
According to Salomé, Ray’s best case scenario is another lucrative contract with The Food Network. If she can’t score that, a contract with another TV platform like Hulu would be ideal, the psychic said.
“We’re talking big money, fancy production, heavy promotion,” Salomé added. “The result? A special that goes viral, puts her back in the headlines and makes her seem “current” even though she’s been on the road for decades.”
Should she sign a deal with a major network, Salomé wants Ray to use it to her advantage. He suggests that she utilize the deal by releasing more cookbooks or even her own line of utensils.
Salomé concluded that if Ray doesn’t soon evolve, her brand is in grave danger of becoming “irrelevant.”
Ray’s Loved Ones Concerned
This comes after an insider told Daily Mail that Ray “has not had the easiest time” since her eponymous talk show ended. The source added that The Rachel Ray Show was Ray’s “pride and joy, and it was her life for so many years.”
Things have gotten so bad for Ray that her family and friends have reportedly become concerned about her wellbeing.
“Those close to Rachael are so concerned,” another insider alleged. “She has shut people out and lives a very secluded life.”
“She seems lost and when anyone reaches out to her she doesn’t respond,” this source continued. “Rachael was always so meticulous about her appearance, and it is very telling and concerning that she now just doesn’t care. It is indicative of a bigger issue.”
Ray’s Fans’ Fears For Her
Ray’s fans have also been worried about her health. Those fears began all started back in September, when she took to Instagram to post a bizarre video honoring the late singer Tony Bennett.
Fans responded by saying that Ray was “slurring” her speech in the video. Some questioned if she was drunk, while others thought she might be on a medication or suffering from a major health condition.
“Is she slurring or am I slurring,” one fan commented. Another added, “I love you but are you ok? I’m seriously concerned.”
“Rachel is in a bit of trouble?! I hope someone is just as concerned as I am?” a third fan wrote. A fourth person questioned, “What the heck is wrong with her? Messy hair, slurring words….wow just wow …”
