Over the past few months, fears have grown for the culinary TV star Rachael Ray after she made a series of bizarre public appearances. Now, things have gotten even worse for Ray, as she’s been hit with another career setback.
Ray’s Latest Career Setback
Back in April, Ray released the third season of her show Meals in Minutes. Unfortunately for Ray, the ratings came in this week, and the numbers are anything but good for her.
Though Meals in Minutes was initially a success for ABC, the ratings have plummeted as of late. Ray’s popular eponymous talk show once brought in two million viewers. The June 2 episode of Meals in Minutes, however, brought in just a measly 27,000 viewers.
While ratings went up the next week for the June 9 episode, it still only garnered 43,000 viewers, according to The Sun.

A Hard Fall For Ray
This represents a hard fall for Ray, 56. Indeed, her talk show The Rachel Ray Show, which ran from 2006 until it was cancelled in 2023, consistently reached 2 million viewers at its peak in 2012.
This comes after an insider told Daily Mail that Ray “has not had the easiest time” since the show ended. The source added that The Rachel Ray Show was Ray’s “pride and joy, and it was her life for so many years.”
In fact, things have gotten so bad for Ray that her family and friends have reportedly become concerned about her wellbeing.
“Those close to Rachael are so concerned,” another insider alleged. “She has shut people out and lives a very secluded life.”
“She seems lost and when anyone reaches out to her she doesn’t respond,” this source continued. “Rachael was always so meticulous about her appearance, and it is very telling and concerning that she now just doesn’t care. It is indicative of a bigger issue.”
Fans Fear For Ray’s Health
Ray’s fans have also been worried about her health. Those fears began all started back in September, when she took to Instagram to post a bizarre video honoring the late singer Tony Bennett.
Fans responded by saying that Ray was “slurring” her speech in the video. Some questioned if she was drunk, while others thought she might be on a medication or suffering from a major health condition.
“Is she slurring or am I slurring,” one fan commented. Another added, “I love you but are you ok? I’m seriously concerned.”
“Rachel is in a bit of trouble?! I hope someone is just as concerned as I am?” a third fan wrote. A fourth person questioned, “What the heck is wrong with her? Messy hair, slurring words….wow just wow …”

Ray herself has yet to comment about the fears over her health. As time goes on, however, it’s becoming increasingly clear that something really is not right with Ray. We can only hope that if there is something truly wrong with Ray, she gets the help that she needs.
