It’s been three months since we reported that the Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and her country music star husband Keith Urban had finalized their divorce. This came after 19 years of marriage and two daughters together.
Now, it’s been revealed that Kidman, 58, was rushed to the hospital months after her divorce from Urban, 58.
Kidman Rushed To Hospital
Kidman is currently starring as former pro wrestler Lace in the show Margo’s Got Money Troubles, which she is also executive producing. Her costar Nick Offerman just revealed that the episode that aired on April 22 was actually Kidman’s first day of filming.
In one scene, Kidman’s character reunites with Jinx (Offerman), an old friend from their wrestling days. He is attending a fan convention with his daughter, Margo (Elle Fanning). Offerman, 55, recalled that it was a “huge set piece” with “hundreds of extras.” However, they nearly were not able to film it.
“We’re there in the morning, we’re getting warmed up — some of us are going to be performing some actual wrestling, and so we have our doubles, we have people we’re working with,” Offerman recounted. “And the word comes in that Nicole has the flu, and we might not get Nicole today. And we’re like, ‘Oh no, that’s such a bummer, because we only have the one day that we’ve built this whole circus for.'”
“It’s about 8:00 in the morning that we get this news. Come to be about 11:00 a.m., the word comes in: Nicole’s coming,” he continued.
Kidman Was ‘So Sick’
When Kidman got to set, she was clearly “so sick.”
“She was so pale, shaken. She just had the flu really so bad,” Offerman remembered. Despite this, “she showed up and made sure that we got every shot of her, total superhero style, did everything we needed to so that we did not lose one scrap of what we needed for her character.”
After she completed filming for the day, Kidman “was literally taken to the hospital for an IV.”
“And I just said to her, I already admired you so much, but this is how you get to be Nicole Kidman, is you show up so that your show doesn’t lose a minute of your value,” he gushed. “It was so generous. It was astonishing.”
Kidman’s Painful Divorce
This hospitalization happened months after Kidman and Urban’s painful divorce. They secretly separated in June of 2025 after 19 years of marriage. Urban was the one who initiated the split. He then immediately moved out of the family home and into his own residence in Nashville.
Kidman then spent the summer desperately trying to save their marriage. The actress finally gave in and filed for divorce on September 30. It was only then that her fans learned that they had secretly been separated for months.
“She didn’t want this,” a source told People Magazine after Kidman filed. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
Another insider told US Weekly that Kidman “had faith they could work it out.” Indeed, she still had hope despite being “quietly separated for a while.
“This wasn’t Nicole’s decision, and she is devastated,” the source lamented. “Her trust was lost, and it was too far gone. Nicole had been trying to get them to work on their marriage and did not want this to get out to the public. She didn’t tell many friends what was really going on with them and was holding this in for months.”
Yet another insider told Page Six that “sometimes relationships just run their course.” This source added that Kidman “did not want the separation and was trying to save things.”
While it’s sad that Kidman was rushed to the hospital, it appears that she has made a full recovery. Please join us in saying a prayer for her as she continues to bounce back from her difficult divorce!
