Over the past few months, rumors have been swirling that Barack and Michelle Obama are heading for divorce. According to these rumors, Barack and Michelle have been living “separate lives” for quite some time.
Now, Michelle has shocked everyone by revealing Barack’s “sexy trait” as these divorce rumors continue to escalate. Indeed, this has only raised more questions about what’s really going on in the Obama marriage.
Michelle Recalls Meeting Barack
On Wednesday’s episode of her IMO podcast, which she launched back in March with her older brother Craig Robinson, Michelle opened up about meeting Barack back in 1988.
“He was a practicing attorney at my law firm, I was a first-year associate,” recalled Michelle, 61. “Barack is older than me but took time off and was at Harvard after I graduated. So when I was a first-year associate after I graduated, he was just a first year in law school.”
Michelle then found herself being assigned to be Barack’s advisor.
“I knew of him, this Barack Obama, and everybody was abuzz about him—all the partners and the Harvard recruiting team were talking about this Hotshot first-year Harvard law student, who was brilliant,” Michelle continued.
Michelle went on to admit that she was quick to judge Barack, who turned 64 on Monday.
“I got his profile, and I thought, ‘Ugh. What kind of name is Barack Obama?’ I was like he’s Black and everybody at the firm was excited that he was Black, and I was like, he’s probably kind of weird,” she recounted.
“A lot of white people were all infatuated with him, I was a little skeptical,” she added. “And then I read his bio and I saw that he grew up in Hawaii, and I thought, ‘Well, how many Black people grow up in Hawaii?’ So I already had this image.”
Barack Was ‘Sexier’ Than Michelle Was Expecting
However, Michelle remembers getting that “first sparky kind of feeling” when she finally got the chance to speak to Barack on the phone. The future president’s voice immediately made an impression on her. It appears that in Michelle’s mind, this is Barack’s “sexy” trait.
“The voice was sexier than the image that I had about him,” she remembered. “So I was sort of like, ‘Ooh I didn’t expect this.’ And he was older, so he was self-assured, so we had a great conversation.”
When Michelle later met Barack in person, she was “pleasantly surprised” because he was “cute” and his “picture didn’t do him justice.”
“He was kind of cool in a way that I didn’t expect,” Michelle concluded.

Obama Divorce Rumors
Michelle and Barack went on to marry in 1992. Though they are still married now, they have been plagued by rampant divorce rumors as of late.
These divorce rumors escalated in a big way back in January, when Michelle skipped both the funeral of Jimmy Carter and the inauguration of Donald Trump. She was the only living former First Lady to miss each of these events. This forced Barack to attend both events alone.
“I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce by reputable people,” political commentator Meghan McCain said on reporter Tara Palmeri’s podcast earlier this year. “I’m not talking about TMZ, I’m not talking about Perez Hilton, although I love him, he’s my friend.”
“I’m talking about like very serious journalists telling me that they’re hearing that the Obama divorce rumors are true,” she continued.
“We’ve heard that for a long time,” replied Tara, who has long covered Washington politics. “Like I just heard that they live separate lives.”

Michelle Accused Of ‘Really Disliking’ Barack
Back in March, Michelle launched her IMO podcast with her brother Craig. Since then, Michelle has used it to bash Barack and air his dirty laundry seemingly every chance she gets.
In fact, Michelle has complained about Barack so many times on her podcast that the former Fox News host Tucker Carlson recently claimed that the former First Lady “really dislikes her husband, and it’s super obvious.”
“I’m not just saying that to be catty,” Tucker explained. “I think I’m trying to feel compassion for her but her hostility toward the guy is unbelievable.”
Tucker’s fellow former Fox News host Megyn Kelly was quick to agree. She pointed out that “everything Michelle says about her husband is negative.”
“I almost never say negative things about Doug,” Megyn added, referring to her husband Doug Brunt. “He’s not perfect but when I think about him, I don’t immediately go to whatever is negative. I go to what’s positive and what I love about him.”

The Obamas Respond
Last month, Barack appeared on Michelle’s IMO podcast. There, they desperately tried to shoot down the escalating divorce rumors.
“There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I thought about quitting my man,” Michelle claimed. “And we’ve had some really hard times. So we had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures, and I have become a better person because of the man I’m married to.”
“These are the kinds of things that I just miss, right?” Barack chimed in to add. “So I don’t even know this stuff’s going on. And then somebody will mention it to me and I’m all like, ‘what are you talking about?'”
Unfortunately for the Obamas, however, many are still not buying their claims that their marriage is still going strong.
Michelle can talk about Barack’s “sexy trait” all that she wants to, but it’s not going to convince many that all is well in her marriage. Only time will tell if the Obama marriage will actually survive this!
