Over the past few months, rumors have been swirling that Barack and Michelle Obama are heading for divorce. These claims allege that Barack and Michelle have been living “separate lives” for quite some time.
Now, Michelle has reemerged to post a video of her dancing with Tina Knowles, the mother of Beyoncé, in a video posted to her Instagram page.
Michelle Dances With Tina Knowles
“I had so much fun talking with @MsTinaKnowles last week about her memoir, Matriarch,” Michelle wrote in the post’s caption. “This Mother’s Day weekend, I hope you’ll check out this very special episode of @IMOpodcasts now on YouTube at the link in my bio or wherever you get your podcasts.”
The video was shot on April 30, when Michelle helped Tina kick off her nine-city book tour at at the MGM National Harbor Hotel and Casino in the Washington D.C. area. During this appearance, the two women were seen dancing to the song “Boots on the Ground.”

Obama Divorce Rumors
This comes amidst rumors that Michelle is divorcing her husband Barack Obama, who she’s been married to since 1992. These rumors escalated back in January, when Michelle didn’t attend the funeral of Jimmy Carter and the inauguration of Donald Trump. Instead, Barack had to attend these events alone. Michelle was the only living former First Lady to not attend the events, which raised some serious eyebrows.
“I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce by reputable people,” political commentator Meghan McCain said on reporter Tara Palmeri’s podcast at the time. “I’m not talking about TMZ, I’m not talking about Perez Hilton, although I love him, he’s my friend.”
“I’m talking about like very serious journalists telling me that they’re hearing that the Obama divorce rumors are true,” she added.
“We’ve heard that for a long time,” replied Tara, who has long covered Washington politics. “Like I just heard that they live separate lives.”

Michelle Is ‘Transitioning’
Michelle only added fuel to these rumors earlier this month when she revealed that she is in “therapy” as she is “transitioning” to the “next phase” of her life.
“At this phase of my life, I’m in therapy right now because I’m transitioning, you know?” Michelle said while appearing on the Jay Shetty Podcast. “I’m 60 years old, I finished a really hard thing in life with my family intact. I’m an empty nester. You know my girls are in — they’ve been launched. And now for the first time, as I’ve said before, every choice I’m making is completely mine.”
“I now don’t have the excuse of, ‘Well my kids need this,’ or ‘my husband needs that’ or ‘the country needs that,'” she continued. “So how do I think about this next phase, and let me get some help.”
Michelle has tried to deny rumors that she and Barack are heading for divorce. However, her recent behavior has led many not to buy her denials.
Michelle can keep dancing with celebrities like Tina Knowles all that she wants to. While she does that, the public will continue to speculate about the state of her marriage, whether she likes it or not!
