Over the past year, rumors have been swirling that Barack and Michelle Obama are heading for divorce. According to these rumors, Barack and Michelle have been living “separate lives” for quite some time.
In a new interview, Michelle couldn’t help but break down in tears as she revealed three words that her dying mother told her last year. This was a rare public display of emotions from Michelle. Given the rampant divorce rumors, the interview is an indication in the minds of some that all is not well in Michelle’s personal life.
Michelle Breaks Down In New Interview
In May of last year, Michelle’s beloved mother Marian Robinson passed away at the age of 86. Michelle couldn’t help but become emotional last week as she discussed a powerful moment that she shared with her mother near the end of her life.
While appearing on the “Wild Card” podcast last week, Michelle recalled caring for Marian at her home in Hawaii in her final months.
“She was realizing that she will not ever be the same old self that she was. She was starting to realize she’s coming to the end,” recounted Michelle, 61. “And this woman that prepared me for death and talked to me about all this stuff and was like, ‘I’m ready to die, who needs old people around too long,’ and blah, blah, blah. She leaned over to me and said, ‘Wow, this went fast.'”
“I held her hand and said, ‘What are you talking about?'” Michelle continued. “And she said, ‘Life.’ She said, ‘This went fast.'”
“What that told me was that even when you tell yourself you’re ready, if you’re living a good life, you’re never really ready for it to end,” the former First Lady concluded. “So I hope I feel that way — even though I will be ready for it, because it’s been good and purposeful — that I’ll feel like, ‘I wish I had more time.’ So I’m trying to live my life like that.”

Obama Divorce Rumors
Michelle certainly has been living life on her own terms as of late.
This comes after months of rumors that the Obamas are heading for divorce. These rumors escalated in a big way back in January, when Michelle skipped both the funeral of Jimmy Carter and the inauguration of Donald Trump. Indeed, she was the only living former First Lady to miss each of these events. This forced Barack to attend both events alone.
“I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce by reputable people,” political commentator Meghan McCain said on reporter Tara Palmeri’s podcast back in January. “I’m not talking about TMZ, I’m not talking about Perez Hilton, although I love him, he’s my friend.”
“I’m talking about like very serious journalists telling me that they’re hearing that the Obama divorce rumors are true,” she continued.
“We’ve heard that for a long time,” replied Tara, who has long covered Washington politics. “Like I just heard that they live separate lives.”

Michelle Accused Of ‘Really Disliking’ Barack
Back in March, Michelle launched her IMO podcast with her older brother Craig Robinson, 64. Since then, she has used it to bash Barack, 63, and air his dirty laundry seemingly every chance she gets.
In fact, Michelle has complained about Barack so many times on her podcast that the former Fox News host Tucker Carlson recently claimed that the former First Lady “really dislikes her husband, and it’s super obvious.”
“I’m not just saying that to be catty,” Tucker explained. “I think I’m trying to feel compassion for her but her hostility toward the guy is unbelievable.”
Tucker’s fellow Fox News host Megyn Kelly was quick to agree. She pointed out that “everything Michelle says about her husband is negative.”
“I almost never say negative things about Doug,” Megyn added, referring to her husband Doug Brunt. “He’s not perfect but when I think about him, I don’t immediately go to whatever is negative. I go to what’s positive and what I love about him.”

Barack has yet to ever comment publicly on the divorce rumors. Some might say that his silence has been deafening.
Meanwhile, Michelle has tried to shoot them down a few times. However, many aren’t buying her denials, given how much she’s continued to slam Barack on her podcast.
Michelle’s emotional new interview certainly indicates that she might not be in the best headspace personally at the moment. Only time will tell if her marriage will actually survive!
